We booked thinking that this would save us some money. It was close to our destination (busch gardens). It was a case of you get what you paid for. Let's start at the beginning. We arrive the lobby looks great. There is construction going on outside so it was a little relief. Come to find out that the pool is not available and they haven't served breakfast there since before covid. These were two big reasons we booked the hotel especially with kids. We go to check in and the front desk lady was very nice. Although they did try to charge me again even though everything was paid online threw priceline. They tried this 24 times. Thankfully my bank put a stop to it. Although they are still trying it even though we checked out a day early. Anyway we get to what would be our first room and it smelt of smoke. In a non smoking hotel. It was bad. Gave us headaches being in the room. The fridge had some strange gunk all over the bottom and was nasty. We read reviews on this place so we checked the beds. The sheets were dirty. We couldn't stay in this room. We went downstairs and asked for a different room. They had to upgrade us because all the other rooms are being taken over by people who are working on the hotel apparently. So we went to a room that would have been a lot better had it just been taken care of. It was a huge room. However the carpets are very worn out with rips. The walls were a few different colors from spotty patch work apparently. Furniture was stained and had rips in it. The exhaust fan let out a ridiculously loud screeching noise that only got louder as it stayed on. But the beds seemed clean we were tired from traveling 5 plus hours we decided we could make the best of it. The first night we heard a lot of noise from the workers stating there. Go look outside and they are ******** and drinking till 11 11:30. They are not quiet about it either. Eventually it stopped and was able to try and get some sleep. As we awoke we are greater to slamming doors and arguing from the hallways. Seems like family's are living here and having a disagreement. This went on for next few days. We finally had enough and decided to leave a day early. Got to be to much would rather just be home. This property needs a lot of work. It needs management that takes care of stuff. I would suggest going elsewhere.
