We zijn op zaterdag op de route, onderweg met de motoren, speciaal afgeslagen naar Het Wapen van Willemstad. Eerder zakelijk het nodige besteed (met een pak aan…), maar met motorrijders hebben ze niets op (getuige ook een eerdere review). We kwamen om 9:45 aan en toen we plaatsnamen werd medegedeeld dat het terras pas om 10:00 open ging. De vraag of we dan binnen een kop koffie konden drinken werd lachend afgewezen. “Dat is voor ontbijt van het hotel. En andere zaken zijn ook nog dicht dus een rondje lopen heeft weinig zin. Volgende keer niet zo hard rijden”. Heel grappig… Prima, vertrokken en genoten van de gastvrijheid in Zeeland. Einde van de dag Willemstad voorbij gereden om te dineren in Zevenbergen. Zullen ook zakelijk wel een alternatief vinden!

Pretenties van top restaurant echter..... bij de bestelling van de bisque willen we wat brood. Misschien niet wat de chef leuk vindt maar wij zijn betalende gasten. Brood kwam toen de bisque koud was. Daarna uitstekende scholfilet. Lekker afronden met een kaasplank en mooie port...... helaas... de kaas:was op.!!!... Dit kan bij ons grand cafe op de hoek maar niet bij een 'klasse restaurant". Volgende keer gaan we naar de concurrent vlakbij. Minder prijzig maar met kazen

Wij hebben het prima naar ons zin gehad tijdens ons verblijf in het Wapen van Willemstad. Prima kamer met goede bedden een heerlijke douche. 's Morgens een simpel maar goed ontbijt met o.a. Bacon and Eggs. Top service, toen wij bijna thuis waren werd ik gebeld dat ik mijn sleutelbos vergeten was en deze is mij nagetuurd per post. Echt super!!!

Bediening vriendelijk. Bier in schone glazen. Muziek te luid. Tempura garnalen, smaak prima, 3 stuks voor € 15.80,- is karig! Salade vijgen noten € 14.50,- smaak prima, hoeveelheid zeer karig. Geweldig groot bord met een kuiltje in het midden voor het serveren van beide gerechten. Schaaltje frites € 5.80,- kwaliteit zeer matig.

Came to Willemstadt for business and needed a cozy clear hotel . Never thought that the area would be so nice with a beautiful port and a fortress just at the door, the hotel so friendly and cozy, the restaurant so good and the breakfast so nice. The hotel is managed by the restaurant crew which are super friendly and helpful. The room is not big, but enough for one and the bathroom is modern , clean and new. Good smart TV and plenty of lights and plugs. The only not so good points are the wifi took a few tries to connect and that parking is not easy. Not difficult either but might take a couole go arounds. Definitely a hotel to come again.

Leuke ligging en goed genoeg. Doordat we via social deal hadden geboekt kregen we (uiteraard) een wat mindere kamer. (nr. 15). Goede badkamer, kamer zelf vrij klein en het ontbreken van een kast vind ik wel bijzonder. Voor één overnachting is dat overigens niet erg. Piepklein raampje dat als je het openzette zorgde voor heel veel herrie van een apparaat buiten. Goede airco (en gebruiksaanwijzing), fijne douchespullen, lekker bed en aardig personeel. Het ontbijt vond ik niet bijzonder, wel lekker vers sap. Het hotel ziet er wel heel leuk uit. Vloerbedekking is meestal niet echt heel handig, zo zaten er hier ook behoorlijk wat vlekken op de leuke vloerbedekking met kreeften erop.

Ein Hotel/Restaurant das, wahrscheinlich, schon bessere Zeiten erlebt hat. Die Zimmer sind zwar sauber allerdings riecht man den in den Wänden hängenden Schimmel in den Zimmern. Das Frühstück ist gemessen an der Leistung und Qualität viel zu teuer und ist täglich das gleiche ohne Abwechslung. Im Restaurant bezahlt man zwar fürstlichen Preise aber weder Service noch Küche sind dieses Wert...

The food and service is truly amazing, the chef is a legend, absolutely first class We had Bao bun with prawns, tempura prawns, and for mains, a steak and flat fish. Superb Wine menu is good, restaurant was busy , nice atmosphere, staff incredibly attentive Not cheap but is anywhere these days? I have some faults It was cold in the restaurant! The stairs to the bedrooms are in my view dangerous A toilet without a door in a bedroom is not on, imagine The mattresses on the bed slid off the bed The hanger , is in a terrible place Would I stay here again, absolutely, it’s a great location, great food, great staff, just spend some of your profits on solving the stair problem. Thanks to management and staff, for a fabulous experience
