Super location in a grand modern but stylefull villa beautiful views over the lake and from our balcony a idyllic morning coffee Very nice owner There were some small maintenance problems but they were solved We had a great time You need a car though

Our stay at the Lodge on the Lake, on the Arrival: Wednesday, 03 January 2024 and Departure: Thursday, 04 January 2024 was absolutely exceptional. The stay itself surpassed all of our expectations, but a few things to highlight were: 1 The exceptional welcome and service given to us by the hosts CJ (Basie) and his wonderful wife. 2. The room and the views are simply spectacular. 4. The personalized breakfasts and service at breakfast. 5. the fantastic swimming pool and the view from the pool.

Very pretty room with everything needed; beautiful view of the lake from the bed and balcony, with table & chairs outside; access to the pool and stylish and comfortable communal area; very friendly and welcoming host; great location.

Lodge on the lake has amazing views when exceptional service from the hosts. We had made last minute decisions and they accommodated as beyond our expectation. My only complaint would be that the Wi-Fi does not reach all the way to the room, but it did not take away from the experience.

Needing a stopover for a Cape Town to PE trip and back, this was the perfect place to unwind and relax. Basie was the perfect, attentive host making sure we had everything we needed. He even helped carry our outsized luggage! Breakfasts were fantastic, more than we could eat! The views from everywhere in the house and our private rooms just added to the serenity. Will definitely be back, for more than one night!

We were really looking forward to our stay at the lodge booking months ahead of time for our anniversary. we booked via *********** but were soon contacted by the property to request we paid them the full balance by bank transfer. whilst this seemed unusual we did the transfer and the owners emailed back to confirm the honeymoon suite booking for two nights. unfortunately due to a serious health issue we had to cancel. however despite several emails and no argument that the refund was due the lodge owners have not refunded the amount, and are no longer returning emails. its really disappointing. i- would advice not making any payment in advance especially if you are overseas.

Lodge on the Lake in Wilderness is in a tranquil location and offers 5 Star Service Hosts are very helpful and friendly Great value for your money with the pool overlooking the lake Will definitely revisit when in the Wilderness
