Travelodge Widnes

Had too buzz the front door as it was broke and wait for staff to open up.noise from other guests in there cars and y the front of the building.

Front desk staff very helpful, room was clean and tidy, bed was good and fast check in and check out.

We paid 29 pound, ok for one night stay so can't complain Bathroom had mould in places and old looking Back room so did get some traffic noise Nice breakfast Toby across the road

Good value for money, central location with parking, close to shops, restaurants and main roads. Large clean room with comfy bed.

Great stay, the staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was also great. I did have one issue with the toilet, but it was on the last morning just before I checked out. But overall a great stay.

I don’t usually leave reviews but I feel I need to for this “Hotel”. I have never met a more rude and abrupt person than the lady that checked me in. This is my second stay at Widnes, first being in January 2025. This time round I was given room 15 next to reception. On check in the rude lady that I later found out is actually the manager of the hotel, was clearly having a bad day so I gave her the benefit of doubt. That being said it’s no excuse to be so rude to paying customers. I stay in many Travelodge hotels but the toxic environment at Widnes clearly shows, and after clearly hearing threw my bedroom window into the staff area next door, the way she was speaking about certain staff members on a personal and bullying scale, Staff members I have actually met myself, I can see why the staff feel deflated. Magda you should feel ashamed of yourself. Belittling your staff and openly discussing personal matters of staff members and laughing about it. I have met the staff in question several times over my stay and it is clear there this hotel has a major issue, YOU. I will be contacting the people highest up the chain to give a statement on my findings for the sake of the lovely staff you clearly don’t care about. As for the state of the place. The floors outside my room were caving in under my feet. Staff advised it had been reported so many times be nobody high up actually cared. How this place passes a heath & safety inspection is beyond me. Travelodge bosses, I will not let this be disregarded. The company needs to be investigated from a H&S prospective.
