The Heather House was a luxurious stay with wonderfully helpful and kind staff, top notch amenities and a perfect location nestled in the Wicklow Mountains. Laragh is a sweet town with everything you need within walking distance- the convenience store across the street had great sandwiches for our hikes and both the pub and restaurant next door served incredible meals! The hiking trails out of the Glendalough monastic center are walking distance from the accommodation and there is a beautiful lake you can swim in within the park when the weather is nice! If you need an easy peaceful escape out of the city or just need an excuse to be surrounded by nature head to Heather House and Erika and Betty will take great care of you!

Very comfortable accommodations in the Wicklow area. Did not serve breakfast but right next to a restaurant that served breakfast and dinner. Also within walking distance, a couple of hundred meters, of a pub serving food. The weather was excellent and we sat outside in their sitting area and enjoyed drinks. We stayed for two nights and were able to visit the Wicklow mountains, the Powerscout Waterfall and the National Park. We left for Wicklow from Dublin we stopped at Bray for a walk along the cliffs and lunch and then headed to Heather House and upon leaving Wicklow we visited the Powerscourt estate while on our way to Kinsale. When leaving we realized the rental car had a flat tire and no spare tire. Although we had to check out the owner permitted us to sit in her house and assisted us in contacting the rental car company. So helpful. Very clean and very reasonable.

We had a great stay at the Heather House! The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. There is ample and convenient parking. There is an adorable cat wandering the grounds as well. The gardens are beautiful and inviting. The breakfast offered next door at the restaurant was good, though it only opens at 8:30, which was a bit late for us. The check-in procedure was a bit confusing, but everyone we encountered was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay again.

I have had a group stay at this property a few nights ago . We booked several rooms at this property . Even thought the accommodation was lovely the correspondence between us and the property has been nothing short of disappointing. I have sent numerous emails to the property advising two weeks prior to arrival that we have paid the full balance for all rooms and no response whatsoever. I then not only had no response to my several emails or two voicemail messages but I was charged the full amount to my credit card for all rooms after paying for this in full in ample time . No one is responding to any of my emails and I have been charged twice a substantial amount of money. I run a Travel Agency in Western Australia and I have never experienced this lack of communication in over 14 years in business . I have no idea when I will receive a response and would not book this property again going forward . I would book with caution unless you can actually speak with someone . So upset with this whole situation

We recently stayed for one night at Heather House and had a very pleasant experience. The location is beautiful, offering fabulous views and a charming little garden seating area right outside our door. Our room was cosy and comfortable, ensuring an excellent night's sleep. It had everything we needed—fresh towels, tea and coffee facilities, a TV, and even a small fridge. We enjoyed breakfast at the Wicklow Heather next door, which was also lovely. Throughout our stay, all the staff we encountered were incredibly friendly and welcoming. We would highly recommend Heather House to anyone touring the area, hiking, or simply looking for a relaxing getaway in the stunning Wicklow countryside.

We had a nice experience. Very charming and comfortable room on the back side of main building with a view of the mountains. The mattress was a bit firm and worn out which I find is common in our Irish travels and not that big a deal. The staff and location were lovely and there are some tables outside you can sit on and enjoy the fresh air. Pretty landscaping as well. Short walk to restaurant, pub, and convenience store.

Heather house is a room only guest house. It is clean and rooms were spacious, unfortunately it lacks any real character and our room was by the reception desk meaning we felt that our conversation could be overheard . We ate breakfast and dinner in Lynams pub down the road which was fantastic and we we probably stay there instead next time

Beware. Trip Advisor lists this as a bed and breakfast. It's not. It's room only. If you want breakfast you have to walk 100m up the road to the restaurant where a selection is available at extra cost. For a room only it's expensive and the lady running it was demanding payment within 5 minutes of our arrival. There's a shop over the road for cereals yogurt and such, but there's no cutlery plates or anything in the room to eat from. All this should be made clear on the web site. Shortly after arriving there was a 4 hour power cut. No apology or help from the manager. This happens fairly regularly as the hotels have generators that kick in - why doesn't Heather House? Room was clean but little in the way of places to hang things, shelves etc. No famed Irish hospitality and we will not be returning. Tried to find the manager before we left to make our thoughts known but they had disappeared.
