Es war unser letztes B'n'B auf unserer Reise. Die Besitzerin ist zurückhaltend, eher kurz angebunden aber bei Fragen jederzeit freundlich! Sie machte uns an einem Abend sogar extra Kaffee inkl. Biskuits, weil wir die Maschine im Schrank noch nicht entdeckt hatten und für Kaffee fragten. Die Zimmer sind einfach aber zweckmässig eingerichtet. Etwas schade dass bei der Dusche nur wenig Wasser kommt und die Matraze war etwas durchlegen, daher unbequem. Das Frühstück ist ein Traum, die Besitzerin macht das vorzüglich. Unbedingt die Scrambled Eggs mit Smoked Salmon probieren! Aber auch das Porridge war fein.

We stayed here for one night. The owner was very welcoming, we had a lovely comfortable bedroom. There were tea/coffee facilities in our room, along with a welcome jar of flapjacks. The town of Wicklow is a short drive away, and we enjoyed an evening walk, and also a lovely meal in a local Chinese restaurant. Breakfast at Glen na Smole is lovely - lots of choice - and this is served in a lovely sunny room. Would definitely recommend, and would stay here again if in the area.

Das Bed and Breakfast hat alles, was es braucht. Es ist etwas oberhalb von Wicklow gelegen. Gut zu finden, da auch ausgeschildert. Unser Zimmer war verhältnismäßig gut ausgestattet. So haben wir uns über einen kleinen Kühlschrank sehr gefreut. Es waren aber auch ein Haartrockner und ein Wasserkocher vorhanden, was wir immer sehr hilfreich finden. Das Bad verfügte über Dusche und separate Badewanne. Beim Frühstück konnten wir zwischen verschiedenen Gerichten wählen. Zum Beispiel auch ein Full Irish Breakfast :-) Wir waren hier rundum zufrieden. Knapp vor 5 Sterne.

Fiona is a lovely host. Although I'm late with the review, it's certainly needed as this is a great little place. 3 night stay with sister. Fiona picked us up from the bus stop in Wicklow 7:30pm after our flight from Edinburgh and bus from Dublin airport. She also dropped us to the train station the afternoon we left. Comfortable and warm, perhaps a little small, but not an issue for us. Can walk to town, a good 10minutes though. Walking back is on a very slight incline and I'd recommend catching a taxi (5 euro) at night as there aren't many people on that road, however, it is lit. Plentiful breakfasts.

Arriving at this B&B I admit I was a bit apprehensive. Our room was in the front, overlooking the parking area, and the bathroom was beyond tiny. We spent the afternoon exploring the old ruins down on the waterfront and returned after dinner to find only our sole parking space remaining. Despite a full house, we never heard a peep out of the other guests. Our beds were beyond comfortable and the warm shower and soft towels more than made up for the small size of the room and bath. The next morning our hostess welcomed us into a bright garden sunroom where she transformed into a gourmet breakfast cook. Glen na Smole was a wonderful place to stay and a place I'd love to return to in the future.

This B&B is located off the town center so it is very calm and you have no problem sleeping. Our room was big, and very nicely decorated. I believe this was the nicest B&B we visited, the owner has good interior designing taste. The bathroom is a bit small but all the furniture has been adapted to take less space so it doesn't feel cramped at all. The breakfast is very good, you have many different options for breakfast, all homemade. I particularly enjoyed the home made scones with raisins and a touch of cinnamon. It was also very nice to be able to take our breakfast in the veranda. Wifi works well, codes are on the bedroom keys so no need to search or ask to connect, always enjoyable. Reception is good. I recommend this B&B when staying around Wicklow

Très bon B&B au calme tout proche de Wicklow. Chambre très propre assez grande avec tout le confort et même un mini réfrigérateur dans le placard. La salle de bain est la plus grande rencontré durant nos 15 jours en Irlande. Les sanitaires sont neufs avec en plus de la douche une grande baignoire très agréable après une longue journée de visite. Bon petit déjeuner également, une bonne adresse que je met côté si je dois revenir à Wicklow.

Située à 5 minutes du centre ville, la maison est très agréable, avec un salon pour les hôtes et une veranda pour le petit-déjeuner. Les chambres sont décorées avec goût et les douches spacieuses. Mais plus que tout, C'est l'accueil qui est exceptionnel. L'a propriétaire est charmante et très sympathique. Ne ratez pas son fameux porridge au Baileys ou ses galettes de pommes de terre au saumon (version mini en photo). Et suivez ses conseils les yeux fermés.

Glen Na Smole is a delightful little B&B just outside of Wicklow (which itself is a beautiful town). The warm but not over the top welcome was just as we liked and the room was perfectly appointed with a lovely garden view, kettle, biscuits and even a hot water bottle. The bed was comfortable and we didn’t hear a peep from any of the neighbouring rooms. The highlight was the breakfast - the muesli was the best I had in Ireland and there was also a selection of cheeses and international spreads (including vegemite!) to appease guests from all over. The omelette was absolutely delicious, as was the soda bread. The hospitality was perfect - a sense of humour without fuss. Would definitely recommend.
