The Glenview Hotel & Leisure Club

Not as advertised room 211 Upon arrival it looks very stylish and well kept, staff are well dressed and very well spoken. We were then asked for a €150 deposit which the male staff member stuttered when asked what it was for told us it was to hold in case we called down to the bar. To learn on reviews it’s a security deposit(he could have just said that it would have been fine instead of lying). When we checked into the room we were expecting a standard room as advertised on here but to our shock it was nothing like it I’ll include photos. Paint was patchy, room was very dated, the view was terrible, trunken to hide wires were unmatched and different colours. The pillows, duvet & bed was very comfortable and staff last night even delivered up a sheet to us because our room got very warm and we needed something lighter. The bathroom was a decent size and fully tiled looked well. I received an email during my first stay to ask how things were and mentioned the above and no one got back to me then when checking out my wife was asked if there was anything they could improve on and she mentioned the above he replied with well that’s the first photo advertised on the website of the few rooms at the front the were done up but if you look through the website you see the old rooms too. This was a wedding anniversary gift to my wife and we have been to nicer 3 stars. It’s not a 4 star hotel while it has lovely garden and view from the restaurant the service was extremely slow and staff need more training

Excellent through out our stay

Had an excellent weekend in The Glenview Hotel......great place for a mothers day weekend......lovely food & staff........special shout out to Robbie the barman......pulls a great pint!!!! Food was very nice and all the staff were very attentive........Will be back again soon..........great scenery too!!!!!!!

Second night stay in a beautiful room with stunning views and leisure facilities to suit all requirements but the really best part of the Glenview is how kind the staff are. We were quite literally blown away at how lovely every member of staff are and the food is delicious. We are having such a lovely well needed break, big shout out to Robbie at the bar ! Every hotel needs a Robbie ! Also beautiful Samantha and all at the Glenview we will be back.
