Room was too hot and had no A/C. The walls are quite thin, which is not a great quality in a hotel that allows dogs. Food was reasonable, at best.

We spent last night at the Norseman Hotel and could not fault it in any way. The room was extremely comfortable , at a pleasant temperature, very clean and it had everything necessary for relaxing stay. At breakfast there was a good variety of choices in then buffet and both at reception and in the dining room the staff were very professional and friendly.

The Norseman is an older hotel but very clean with wonderful friendly and helpful staff. On the ground floor the entrance, restaurant and bar are all in a good state of repair. However the bedrooms are desperately in need of an upgrade. I really don’t mind that the furniture is dated and as I said before everything is very clean but it was so cold. The window wouldn’t close and the heating didn’t work. We used the bath towel as an extra blanket on the bed. The shower was also really poor. It took ages to heat up and barely managed to make you wet. Such a shame as this really could be a great hotel as the food is also really tasty and great value for money.

It looks like the police station
When we arrived we thought it was the police station as the architecture is ‘functional’ rather than beautiful. Hotel room was lovely, very clean with good space. The bar needs some charisma added. The town is less than appealing and was mostly closed when we visited
