Spark by Hilton Wichita East

This was a great place to stay. Very clean, employees were helpful, and the location was off Kellogg , easy to get any where in Wichita.

Good price considering what all the other hotels were priced at. However…. The smell in there from the air fresheners was intoxicating. So strong, I felt it in my throat. My clothes stunk the next day, and I could taste that smell in my thermal cup of water that had the ice from the hotel. It was crazy strong…,

Disappointed with our 1st stay with Spark hotel. Will probably never choose this brand again. When we arrived it's a split entry so there is no elevator by the front desk and it's mandatory to walk up or down a flight of stairs unless after checking in you go to the back door of the building to get to the floor with an elevator. The hallway had carpet stains and our room was less than we'd hoped for. Breakfast had minimal options and was loaded with carbohydrate options, plus there we're gluten free options. Overall, disappointing.

Overall, this was a decent stay. The room was an average size and had a microwave and mini fridge, which was convenient. One thing missing was a coffee maker and ice tray, which is something I usually expect at most hotels. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The bathroom was quite small, and the sink being located outside the bathroom wasn’t my favorite layout. I stayed on the bottom floor in Room 109, so I didn’t feel comfortable opening the window since people walking by could easily see inside. If privacy is important to you, you may want to request a room on a higher floor. The front desk staff were polite and helpful. The lobby is small, but the hotel is in a great location close to restaurants, stores, and the mall.

Traveling up from Texas to Minnesota for a funeral, we happened upon this unknown (to us) gem. Dan was wonderful helping us get a room so late and made sure we could get to it as easily and painlessly as possibly. It was such a pleasant overnight that we stopped again on the way home. Ron and Mayra were also very nice when we were leaving, so I feel the need to shine a spotlight on them as well. The best part? They are all aware of ADA requirements and open to conversations to clear up misconceptions.

First time staying at Sparks by Hilton and was presently surprised. Terrie was super attentive and helpful. Always making sure we had everything we needed. Will definitely stay again.
