Arrived at reception and was immediately offered upgraded room at a price of £40 as it was our 25th wedding anniversary decided to upgrade because room had air con ( won't do that again) air con was noisey so not practical to leave it on , getting out of the shower is an accident waiting to happen ( Room 258). I have stayed here on several occasions previously and always included spa access . I can honestly say I will be going elsewhere, the management have decided the SPA is now an extra even though it stated Spa access when booking ,I reccomend you contact whittlebury BEFORE you book , and getting the CURRENT HOTEL POLICY.

Perfect, if you want a 1973 experience! Room clean, okay but dated, window only opened about 2 inches so very warm and stuffy, room fan was available which was useful but Aircon would’ve been much better! Extremely noisy fridge got up in the night to turn the bloody thing off as it was keeping us awake! Old plastic bath didn’t feel very secure when standing in it for the shower, given the size of the bathroom, complete with Bidet and twin sinks (back to the 1970s again!) the space could be made better with a freestanding shower separate from bath. Overall, the deco was just a little dated. Breakfast was below average, machine coffee was bitter and 40% froth. Food was mainly cold, except for the beans as they were none left, waited a few minutes for beans contrast to the cold breakfast. Veggie sausages welcome sight but vile, rock hard and again cold. Toast okay.! We were returning home north from Europe and due to a late ferry, we made the decision to stop over and go to Silverstone. Initially we were trying to book onto the campsite as we were travelling in our own motorhome, however we could not contact the campsite and they did not reply to our, instead we decided to book a hotel room in the hall. We thought it would be useful to test the place out for a future visit for the Grand Prix, safe to say we will stay elsewhere or camp.

Before arriving i called to check what time we could use the facilities from and was told 8.30 am as the spa is open at that time, i didn't think it was right so called again to be put though to reservation team who didn't pick up . Tried the day after and was put through again to the reservation team who didn't pick up,I had to listen to this awful up selling for 20 minutes before i gave up) called the main number again and asked to be reminded of what i'd paid for and he eventually found the booking and said we could use the facilities from 12 pm . we arrived at 12.30 pm and on arrival we were told we could have the room (even though he had already told us the number of the room ) early for an extra charge of £40 . I dont appreciate being given the hard sell. I was not paying £40 just so i could unpack early. i wasnt planning on being in the room for 4 hours ! we were directed to the pool area to check in and the girl said we couldn't use the facilitates till 4pm then she phoned and checked our booking and it turned out we could, by this time i was losing the will to live ! The room appeared lovely however the pillows were lumpy and it was way too hot and didn't sleep . (the window only opens so far ) . We had a sandwich in the bar ,each and a handful of chips and 2 drinks which was over £35 . not worth the money! The meal in the restaurant was ok however i don't think you should be charged an extra 12 % for someone to bring you a glass of wine to the table ! The breakfast was tasty however cold by the time you sat down to eat it. The staff in the restaurant were lovely and very attentive. It was a very average experience . Unfortunately i wont be recommending this hotel and spa or returning .

10/10 experience at the Whittlebury park. We had an overnight stay with a 3 course dinner. Ozan the server at the restaurant made our time exceptional for our recent marriage celebration, we will now make it an annual event to come down and celebrate our anniversary with my Husband. Thank you for the Whittlebury team and especially Ozan for making our time so very special.

Steamy hot smelly room. The party outside my window finished at midnight. Then the de-rigging began with lots of noisy crashes and bangs. Final straw was finding a cockroach in the bathroom. Left at 1am to sleep in car.
