My husband and I needed one night pre fishing charter. Check in is at the Anchor Inn restaurant then you drive to the apartment. Parking is in a dirt lot across the street. Don't park in the apartment lot or you will be ticketed. We were able to use the loading dock and a provided cart to get our suitcases to the unit. The unit is bare bones. Only a half filled container of dish soap, a curled up sponge, and tp is provided. No paper towels, 1 dish towel. Minimal meal prep, silverware or dishes. Couch was worn and peeling "leather". Bathroom original 1960s pink tile with many holes where towel bars had previously been installed and removed. Unit was on 14th floor and was very warm in early July so we made use of the provided fan. We ate at the bar above the Anchor Inn and service was great, food well prepared and reasonable for Alaska prices and was served in "to go" boxes as it is prepared downstairs at the Inn then walked up.Our server was fantastic. Since we were checking out before the Anchor Inn opened we were advised to leave the key on the counter. There's not many choices in Whittier so for a quick in and out before fishing this met our needs. Not the cleanest but not horrible...just different and a bit odd.

Ok place for the price. Last minute detour so this is only one available. Would love to stay at the Whittier Inn next time It’s not an actual hotel if that’s what you are looking for. More of a condo in a residential building. 70 % of the residents of Whittier live in this building. Need updates and work. Broken blind in bedroom. Chair broken luckily we didn’t get hurt. Kitchen not well stocked. Just random pieces of utensils.

For this one, it's all about perspective. Whittier is a blue collar port and fishing village with great views, trails and ocean access. The Whittier locals are as freindly as there are. If it's luxury you want, Glacier View Condo Suites is not the place for you and quite frankly neither is Whittier. If you want the cheapest place in town for a family and are really only there to sleep, it's perfect. Anything beyond that and you'll be disappointed. The only meal we had at the condo was breakfast and the kitchen was not adequately stocked for that.

Absolutely the worst place we have ever tried to stay. The place to check in was on the second floor in a Resturant that was a dump. There was a man standing outside talking and every other word was the f word. I got the key and went to the building where the rooms were ( about a quarter of a mile away. It was raining and there was no clear place to park so my wife stayed with the car while I took the luggage up to the 14th floor. One elevator was stuck on the second floor and the place was a dump. When I got to the room the key would not open the door. We didn’t feel safe so I took the key back and we left. Didn’t get our money back. Drove all the way back to Anchorage. We have travelled a lot and that was our worst experience ever

The place needs maintenance and didn’t feel clean inside. Pillows smell like someone slept on them, hair on the bed cover. Kitchen feels dirty - stains on the cupboards and walls, there were cups and utensils just by the sink, old filthy sponge and towel by the kitchen sink. Looks like they forgot to put soap in the bathroom. Our lamp shade was covered in brown spots. Old carpet and linoleum. We paid 375 per night - not worth the money. Views from the window are really nice.

Very quirky but clean, warm, and super comfy beds. Live with the locals and enjoy your stay. Fun experience to remember. The tunnel. The loading dock for our luggage. The VIEW! The cute, helpful kids in the lobby. The super friendly people. All the basics. Older building but newer carpet, bedding, paint. Hot shower.

Place was very spacious and clean - 2 bedrooms, living room, and kitchen. Decor is very dated, but that's ok. Building is actually an apartment building where most places have families living there - it's a bit strange, but not necessarily a problem. No amenities or hotel service since it's not really a hotel. Worked out great for us.

Older building, very warm inside not sure thermostat stat working well. Check-in is not at same place as rooms. People should know this ahead of time. Tiny market n post office located on main floor. Beautiful view

Smelly cat haven!
It was a nice place but the smell of cats was soooo bad! I had to stay in the bedroom where it was a bit more tolerable. No one should have to stay in a place that smells sooooo bad! There might as well have been 10 litter boxes around! Very disgusting and disappointed!
