Very nice the hotel owner. When you come to the hotel he would introduce the facilities of the hotel for you.

We received a warm welcome upon arrival. Nice decor throughout the guesthouse and the room is has nice frames and ornaments too. Kettle, tea and biscuits in the room. Lovely breakfast made to order with access to a buffet with cereal, fruit and yoghurt. Nice selection of toiletries in the bathroom. Unfortunately the bathroom was very small and doesn't have a window. The bed wasn't the most comfortable, but we still loved our stay. Would happily have stayed a little longer. Only a few minutes walk to the beach. On street parking.

Great location well run establishment. Host Paul goes the extra mile to ensure his guests are well informed with regard to local amenities. Breakfast was adequate but not exceptional.

Eight of us were warmly welcomed. Very comfortable beds and good showers. The host was very accommodating with any extra requests. The Best breakfast I’ve been served in a long time in a guest house. Was happy to advise what was available in the local area. Highly recommend.

Warm welcome, fabulous cosy, pleasantly decorated room and excellent breakfast. Close to metro station, town centre, beach and attractions. Hope to be able to visit again soon.

This stay restored my faith in guesthouses! Really covenient, only a few mins walk from the Metro, and a few mins walk to the beach. The owner is friendly and approachable and makes amazing breakfasts- beautifully presented and tasted amazing, I went for the avocado stack both mornings. Room was tastefully decorated, good shower, bed amazingly comfortable. I've already recommended to family who often stay in the northeast.

Fantastic stay at the Metropolitan in April . We had a large twin room (attic room) which was comfortable, exceptionally clean and quiet.Breakfast was gorgeous, poached egg with bacon and avocado with excellent coffee. The owner Paul was really helpful and recommended bars and restaurants in the area.Couldnt fault our stay, highly recommend.

Outstanding! Excellent service, stunning decor, comfortable and clean. Worth every penny. Coffee is wonderful and the breakfast portions are generous. Paul is a gem. Gave amazing recommendations for places to eat and drink just a walk away. Fab location too: a short walk to the beach.

Such great hospitality at this perfectly located guest house just off the seafront. The owner was really accommodating and offered good local advice for activities and restaurants. The room was clean and well equipped. We loved the set up. Breakfast was great with a variety of hot quality breakfast options alongside the usual selection of cereals, yoghurts, breads, fruit. I recommend the spicy avocado! Thank you for lovely stay.
