Thank you to the boss for waiting. Because I arrived late, I called and was told that the hotel front desk will close at 7 o'clock. The bathroom is large, the room is also large, and the location is very good.

We staying here for 2 nights on our short holiday trip and I will give an honest review of our experience Location: very handy and a short drive to the city, beaches and restaurants Room: very clean and tidy with large bathroom, however we experienced having rat above our bed scratching and making noise all of our first night which make us stay awake most of the night and the hall way have kids running around at 7 in the morning which added to our tiredness. The room have AC that’s works really well and keep us comfortable. We told the reception team about our experience of rat and they are very apologetic and action it on the next morning by going up the ceiling and try their best to eliminate the rats but unfortunately they still there on our second night. It is unfortunate that we experience that but PLEASE DO NOT let our experience stop you from staying here as the room itself isn’t that bad and we talk to other people around us they couldn’t hear the scratch noise as it was just above our room only. If it wasn’t the rats issue I would be more than happy to give this place a 5 stars rating for sure.

Hôtel très propre avec une très bonne literie au coeur de la nature, loin des bruits de la ville. Le personnel y est très accueillant et de très bon conseil. Parking à disposition sans supplément. Idéalement placé. A 5 min du centre ville. A savoir que cet hôtel ne propose pas de petit déjeuner.

Motel ohne Frühstück
Einfaches Motel etwas abseits vom Hauptort. Hilfsbereite Eigentümer. Trotz Angabe in der Beschreibung kein Frühstück zubuchbar. Schönes Zimmer. Wir waren die einzigen Gäste. Bei der Abreise ( Sonntag, 07:15 Uhr) war die Rezeption nicht besetzt. Wir haben den Schlüssel dann im Zimmer gelassen

Overall nice stay
Nice lodge/motel, a little bit away from the city center. Quiet and peaceful. Owner/manager was VERY friendly and helpful. Room was serviced/cleaned each day with fresh towels and tea, etc. which was much appreciated. Future guests should know that the shared kitchen is not much of a kitchen; there is no oven and no proper stove (only a hot plate). This was not an issue for us, but it might be for others who are expecting to cook their meals. Overall a very nice stay and I would recommend the Aotearoa Lodge to others.
