Hotels in Whitehorse are expensive at this time of year, and the Stratford Motel is no exception, but considering it's in the center of town, it's relatively reasonable, the room was clean and the amenities were good, and there were various restaurants nearby, so I was very satisfied.

The staff were helpful and the venue was close to downtown, but the motel reeked of cigarette smoke. It was supposed to be a nonsmoking room, but I may have been the only nonsmoking person to stay there in the history of the motel. The stench seeped into everything and it was difficult to breathe, much less sleep. If you're a smoker, you've found the hotel for you. If not, you might want to try somewhere else.

Overall, enjoyed our stay at the Stratford. Great location right in the city centre. Rooms are dated and could use some better insulation but otherwise no complaints!

Spacious and good proximity to the downtown core. Recommend bringing a set of ear plugs as the walls don't offer noise cancellation.
