Very busy hotel. Some of the front desk staff need foe client training. Was not offered a room at check in 3 pm as room# not cleared. but other rooms available. told to wait 5 min..that became 30 minutes. Another front desk clerk assigned me a different room#. then the cash terminal wasnt working. Get to the room, beside a barking dog in the romm next door. barking for 2 hours. Hotel is nice. very popular. Would be incredible if more team work with staff to process long line of check ins and also support to clients to get them easily checked in..no waiting 1 hour more for a room

The hotel is nice with friendly staff. The location is close to shopping and restaurants. There is also a restaurant in the hotel.

The hotel is lacking amenities. Almost all Best Western's give you some type of complimentary breakfast. This one doesn't even have coffee set up in the lobby. Everything is $$. They only have one elevator for four floor so that slows things up. There parking lot is one block away facing a park. Not safe to park your car in there. Whitehorse downtown has a lot of car break-ins and property crime. Go to the visitors center and get a free three day parking permit allowing you to park at the meters out front, a little safer. The city has a drug & alcohol problem so break in's into a vehicle are common to support their addiction. Police presence is virtually non existent. As a Diamond select member she said she upgraded my room but it was only a basic two bedded queen so not sure where the upgrade was.

I drove from Alaska to southern BC and stayed in 4 different Best Westerns along the way, this one was over $100 more than any other and was far less comfortable than two of the others. Desk Clerks were very polite and professional, the bed was comfortable and the gold town theme was interesting (such as the elevator door looking like a safe door) and that was pretty much the positives. Negatives: No parking, I was told some was being built, but you have to park on the street, and they stressed multiple times to make sure nothing in your vehicle was in view to prevent theft, there was a lot of road noise, and the floors made a lot of noise when you walked on them, this is a know issue as they do give you complementary foam ear plugs in the room. Biggest positive for this BW is it was clean. Overall, the higher cost, lack of parking, apparent vehicle break ins and noise, do not believe I will stay here in the future unless the other options are sold out.

Stayed at this property for 6 nights on our first trip to Whitehorse. We had a two double bed room on the top floor. The room was spotless, and the beds and linens very comfortable. The service at the hotel was exceptional from the front desk and room attendants. Parking is two blocks away from the hotel, but was convienent enough despite the short walk, plus it was free! The restaurant was average and the hotels location was very central. One minor criticism is that we found the property to be very warm, we had to sleep with the window wide open each night and the aircon was a little noisy. I would recommend this hotel to others and will likely stay here again when we return to Whitehorse!
