**DISCLAIMER** Just want to make it clear the majority of the problems encountered here are company and management level issues. The restoration team, housekeeping and customer service I interacted with were awesome and helpful. ** END OF DISCLAIMER** This is my first time I am going to a vacation after years of saving with stay-cations. Despite going on vacation, I still wanted to keep healthy and I picked it for that reason and that it was reasonably priced. So imagine my disappointment when the gym has no weights or any space to stretch and the hot tub is not available. Also, there was nearly $200 of tax and fees tacked on to the original website price and parking is not free! For the first half of the vacation, it was not bad since it is located in the middle of the village so I managed to trek out to the Lost Lake and Alta Lake and went to Provisions, Taco Cantina and Beacon Pub. Unfortunately, on May 15, the upstairs was flooding and woke me up at 2:30 AM and I ran to save my belongings and set out some pots and pans to minimize water damage. I rang front desk multiple times to try and inform them of the current situation. At 8 AM, someone finally called to update me that a restoration team would be coming by 12 PM and they were aware of the problem. All I'm saying is that it would hurt if management staffed the front desk 24 hours like most hotels. In summary, I would try somewhere else with your hard earned money.

This place is designed for groups of young skiers who like to party late at night and don't care who gets woken up when they get back to their rooms. The reception closes at 10pm and NOBODY enforces the "quiet time" on behalf of other guests or families who actually want to sleep. Interior walls are paper thin. The layout and signing at this property are a disgrace - it took me 15 minutes (in daylight) to find my way from my room to the reception, after exiting the building and having to find my back back in through the front door. Unbelievable. The staff were friendly enough and clearly embarrassed on behalf of guests who were not part of loud, rowdy groups. But seriously, this place is little better than a youth hostel for partygoers. But the management positions it as a "lodge" to capture overspill guests from the hotel next door. This place is NOT a hotel!
