It was a very nice stay...

This was an unplanned stop due to the inclement weather. The lady who check us in was kind but put us in a room at the farthest end of the hall. I had a 2 day old broken ankle and my father had to unload everything & manage his service dog. The room was average & clean. Pool out of service. We do not stay places that are not pet friendly! They are not pet friendly while ******* says they are and a text from them indicated $250 would be charged for animals. This did not apply to us because it was a service animal. While walking near the housekeeping area in the morning, a staff member stated, “Their dog is supposedly a service animal, we need to figure out when they are leaving or if they are out of the room”(8:30a.m.)to which the other replied, “yeah ok.”(sarcastically) “Make sure you check for stains, look at the towels, just check it all!” I was almost in tears at them implying we had lied. This was the second time I had experience someone discriminating against my father and I was disgusted and enraged. I hobbled past the door making the snide remark “Yes we are out of the room! He is in fact a service dog for ****** and you will find the room in the condition you left it for us.” My father was loading the truck with his dog at that time. When he saw me upset he inquired. I hesitantly explained. He showed the desk clerk his papers concerned my card would be charged. I informed her she should speak with her staff about speaking derogatively of clients in ear shot of them.
