Chesil Vista Holiday Park

Very clean & well maintained accommodation. Site also very clean & well maintained. Excellent facilities, swimming, sauna, gym, outdoor gym, bars and restaurant. Team are all very friendly & accommodating. I've stayed approx 12 times in past 3 years, never let me down. Thank you Chesil team, see you soon!☺️

ACCOMMODATION We stayed in one of the apartments. It was perfect for our family, 2 adults and 1 8year old. Had two bedrooms, one double and one with bunk beds and plenty of wardrobe space for our one week stay. The free WiFi was great and connected perfectly not just in the apartment but all over the park. Good enough to watch Netflix etc. The apartment was spotlessly clean and had a very pretty view over the lagoon, Chesil Beach and Portland Island. Kitchen had everything we needed for our self catering stay, fridge with freezer box, microwave, dishwasher, hob and oven and all the kitchen utensils one would need! Even though it’s very close to the on site restaurant and venue there’s no noise at all from either of these and sitting on the shared balcony in the evening is wonderful. The road into the site is a main road, the only road onto Portland, so is busy. We didn’t hear any traffic noise from the apartment but there are a few caravans right at the entrance which may be affected. ENTERTAINMENT Great evening entertainment included in the price in The Venue. There were various singers, guitarists, bands etc. There’s also lots for little ones but we never got down there early enough! There’s a bar area with the usual drinks and cocktails available and bar snacks to purchase. Next to The Venue is an arcade with all the machines, pool table, and a small soft play area for kids. The whole place is once again spotlessly clean, toilets included. SWIMMING POOL Swimming pool is bookable via the Waterside app. These are 1 hour sessions. You can book back to back sessions but we found 1 hour plenty. When booking there are prices shown but once you go through to the payment page and put in the discount code it’s all free. The pool area is very clean, has toilets, changing rooms, showers, baby change and hairdryers/spin dryer. The pool slide is great and very fun and there’s a jacuzzi and baby pool too. When booking we had no problems at all apart from on the last day when a few sessions were fully booked. Even when a session is fully booked the pool is empty enough to swim / play. In the entrance to the pool there’s a small gym (1 bike, 1 cross trainer, 1 treadmill and 1 resistance machine) RESTAURANT We only ate at the Breeze Bar & Grill once and took advantage of the pizza deal. Food was ok and once again staff were very friendly and place was spotlessly clean. You can walk through to the venue / arcade from the restaurant. You can also order to take away. BEACHES Closest beach is called Smallmouth bay. It’s a teeny little cove, sandy and clear clean water. It’s just opposite the entrance to the park down the road a bit (towards Portland Island) and just behind the traffic lights. It’s a lovely beach but has some traffic noise as it’s right on the main road into Portland The best beach we found was Castle Cove. Absolutely fantastic time i had at chesil beach holiday park. Staff were so friendly and polite accomodation was amazing very clean when i arrived. Beds were made up lovely clean linen. Bed was so comfortable. Everything was there for your use from gym to swimming to fantastic entertainment in the evening. It was an all round fab holiday and i would definitely be booking to go back.

We're stopping in a private lodge on the site so not fair to comment an the accommodation. The site is excellent. Very clean and tidy, not a piece of litter anywhere. Grassed areas are well kept. We have eaten at The Breeze bar and restaurant and was one of the best meals we've had for a while

Great place to come and relax. Accommodation lovely, clean and fresh and has everything things you need even a surprise box of items you may need if you haven’t been shopping. Reception- every time we went in we had a lovely greeting from staff always friendly and helpful especially when we asked about buses and walks. The breeze bar and grill - great food and service excellent, staff lovely, helpful and attentive. Entertainment in the evening ok. Great for kids and adult bingo and also live music, some better than others. Beautiful place to stay and stunning views.

We stay in the west bay section. In caravan 38 . Positives : the caravan was clean , today and comfortable and excellent facilities. Ares was a classic 2024 , gold plus with decking . The food is exceptional, we had the Sunday lunch which, I can highly recommend. The staff were excellent, we mostly spoke to dave the security dwarf and matt the assistant manager and brad the chef , but everyone else we spoke to and dealt with was great . Idea place if you cannot drive like any off us , as there is a bus stop at the main entrance , on the main road, with a very regular bus service evey 15 minutes into Weymouth, the number 1 . Negatives : not to many, but 1 real issue we had was the TV, it always dreadful, we barely had any channels, we managed ok , we logged into our Disney plus account. But for a lot of people they , wouldn't be able to do this, and for elderly and disabled people or people with kids , especiallyyoungchildren , who don't go out at night much , or later in the year when the weather is rubbish , and you cannot go out , it's not good at all . I don't know weather, it was just our caravan or an issue for the whole park . But it needs to be sorted ASAP please. And for that reason, I have given it 4 stars instead of the 5 , which I wanted to give . And I would have , if not for the TV problems .
