This hotel is badly in need of some updating. The carpets in the ground floor corridors are frayed and lose and really don't look clean. The numbers outside the bedroom door are stickers, which are crooked and cheap looking. We had breakfast included for both nights of our stay but we didn't take it on the 2nd morning. The tea was in a burco boiler instead of made fresh so it was very unpleasant. I requested the continental breakfast from the menu & was told I could get most of it myself apart from the eggs. The juices are unpleasant, the yoghurts tasted cheap. We were visiting the area for a family event & the location suited us but I'm sorry to say won't stay here again. At least if we'd booked a bed & breakfast, the breakfast would most likely be very good.

Overall it is good value. Very good breakfast. The only thing is that the decor is very grey in the rooms and corridors and paintwork badly needs to be redone everywhere. Also, carpets are getting old.

Easy location for Rosslare Harbour and ferry with free parking. Staff were welcoming. Decor in room was tired and shabby but clean. Bathroom door wouldn’t close and fittings had seen better days. Job lot of grey paint on everything can’t cover up the tiredness. Expensive for what it was. On the plus side, had a lovely walk on the beach at Rosslare Strand which is just across the road, and great food at Kelly’s Hotel & Spa which is just 200 yards down the road.

Decent hotel, conveniently situated for the Rosslare ferry to Fishguard (great for the 08:15 departure). The public areas are quite luxurious and well appointed, but the large bedrooms feel a bit scruffy and could do with some tlc. Food in the restaurant was over-priced and of average quality (over-cooked salmon fillet etc,)

I paid e400 cash on arrival and expected some level of customer consideration. However, the evening before departure i asked a very small favour in the form of a cooked meal in restaurant in place of the breakfast next day when i had to dash off to drive down to the ferry departure and check in. This small request seemed to engender some amazement if not resentment and I was made to feel like persona non grata in an embarrassing discussion at the desk. I suppose the moral is the customer is not always king. Having worked in sales myself, I would certainly have taken a different approach as a small token of appreciation for staying, and looking ahead for future business. Apart from this I would recommend the staff checkout the television functionality beforehand as in my case the thing looked a little off-colour and eventually ceased completely and spluttered to a blank, dead screen. One other point: a really up-to-date hotel sometimes has a small supply of bottled water as an arrival welcome to use for tea / coffee. Although most tap water is not poisonous, it sometimes leaves a funny taste in the mouth. I found this to be the case on this occasion. Possibly Coast Rosslare needs to re-evaluate its accommodation. In my case the room had a pretty depressing effect on me with the greyish decor. What do interior decorators always recommend ? 'You can't really go wrong with cream ! '

We stayed for two nights and the only redeeming factor of this hotel is it's staff. From when we arrived the receptionist. Evening manager and restaurant staff were all very friendly and helpful. We had an electrical issue of our own making and this was dealt with very efficiently. Breakfast was served and very satisfactorty but did wonder at the extra charge if one requested a pot of tea rather than the self service tea. We were on the ground floor in an accessible room. The carpet on the hallway was filthy and badly fitted. The corridor and room was dark grey and very dingy looking. The room itself was dark..had two windows overlooking an poorly maintained garden. While the shower and toilet were accessible the handbasin was what you would find in a public accessible toilet. Double bed was very comfortable as were pillows. There was also a single bed which the mattress appeared very thin. The hotel is well situated in Rosslare to the beach, port and 5 min walk to shops and restaurants. The hotel has great potential as other than Kellys there is not a lot of options in Rosslare. and while the price was probably OK for a clean bed and good breakfast I would not be returning while in it's current condition

I am always extremely happy with the welcome from staff and hospitality throughout my many times staying at this hotel but my last stay has cast a serious doubt as to whether I will stay again unless this hotel undergoes a complete refurbishment. Very happy with the Location of the hotel and the exterior of the building. The car park is an added bonus. The restaurant and bar on site provides above average dining at a good price. But I am extremely disappointed with the dated decor of the Bedroom and the corridors leading too them with the aged carpets and dated Chipped paintwork. The state of the bathroom is unbelievably bad with its cracked tiles, black mildew around the shower cubicle and shower tray ( the middle of the shower tray has been repaired in two places with some sort of tape ). The toilet paper holder falling of the wall. The dining room on first impression is okay. But closer scrutiny the tables and chairs are wobbly also the flooring needs to be replaced as it's in really bad condition. This is meant as constructive criticism that you can't be running a hotel in this manner and charging high end prices. Money needs too be spent on refurbishment of this hotel.

Everything surpassed my expectations for a 3* rated hotel. All staff were exceptionally pleasant and helpful. The food was top class with a good selection on both breakfast and evening menus. Excellent value for 3 nights bed and breakfast in a suite at E507. The suite was enormous and very well laid out. There isn't a hint of negativity about our stay and I would highly recommend a visit. Thank you Coast for a wonderful stay.

The food and the service were excellent, we had an evening meal and the full Irish breakfast was huge. Very quick service in the restaurant given it was cooked to order, and very friendly. The room was spacious, with a comfortable bed, however the bathroom was tired, with chipped paint, cracked tiles, and a shower screen on the bath that didn’t seal against it, so water got onto the floor. It was functional though and given the good price and convenient location just a few mikes from the ferry port, I would recommend it.
