We spent 2 nights here in June. While the decor wasn't the most modern, the rooms were clean and quiet, the beds were super comfortable, and the staff went out of their way for guests. We would choose to stay here again the next time we are in the Munising area.

My husband and I had a great 3 night stay at North Star. After a tiring and long day on the road, we were greeted with very friendly and helpful staff at the front desk. They were prompt to guide us to the best restaurants around and gave suggestions on how to plan the days we were there as well. They highly recommended doing the Chapel Loop Hike instead of the Sand Castle one and we were not one bit disappointed! The rooms are clean & very spacious. The hotel offers a decent breakfast, has a hot tup and parking available too. The location is great, has a Circle K right next to it! Thanks Vinu, Gowtham, Naina and John for your hospitality.

Nice hotel, clean comfortable rooms. Easy drive to the boat tour or the National Seashore. We had a great night's sleep. Just a note, when we got in from the boat tour, there was an uncomfortable food odor in the lobby. Gone the next morning and had an adequate breakfast.

After a long drive up to the U.P. it was wonderful to relax in the sauna and soak in the hot tub! The beds were comfortable and the room was very clean, my son loved making his waffle in the morning, the staff was very helpful and parking was easy. We were only 8 minutes away from our scheduled Pictured Rock cruise so we didn't have to rush and they even provided a washer and dryer if we needed to tidy up our laundry. North Star really is a hidden gem!

Clean, comfy beds, great free breakfast selection, very friendly staff, right on the snowmobile trail, right next to gas station.
