Brooklodge Bed and Breakfast

Warm and Friendly Hosts: Praised for being accommodating, helpful, and welcoming without being intrusive.

The hosts were very friendly and helpful Our room was reasonably sized with a double bed and en-suite and all looked in good shape, however i did find my pillow case and the sheet had some dirty marks on them, our pillows were uncomfortably hard but the bed its self was very comfortable. The basic tea and coffee facilities were in an awkward place to use and the tv was tiny (not that we used it) We could hear the neighbouring tenants talk and also their bathroom and shower fan was very noisy . We also found our bathroom floor seemed to be wet and sticky during the night for some reason. In the morning breakfast was only cereals, yogurt, some diced fruits, sliced ham, cheese and tomato, orange juice, coffee and toast where as others on this site and our trip organisers indicated a cooked Irish Breakfast. Our morning experience could have been enhanced if some pastries or other fresh fruits ie bananas were available. There is car parking although you can easily and safely park on the street. The walk into town is easy and quick to some nice restaurants and pubs.

My sister and I had a great stay with Noreen and her family. The location is excellent. It's set in a lovely, quiet, residential area and only a short walk to the town. Noreen and her daughter couldn't have been more helpful giving us information about Westport. The beds were comfortable, the room spotless, and the breakfast excellent. We would definitely stay again.
