superbly located, friendly, well run establishment
Superbly located in front of the beautiful marina sea pool, and 5 minute walk to the town centre, pier and stunning beaches.
There are carpark spaces, but they need logistics, if you're driving in and out all day.
Reception is constantly manned.
The rooms are clean, well stocked with towels, tea, coffee etc and soaps, shampoo.
I was on the 4th floor, thankfully there's a lovely well maintained lift.
Breakfast was delicious! And the views from the breakfast room are just beautiful!
I have family in Weston-super-Mare, and I shall definitely be staying here again!
All the staff, especially Yarrin and Billy, the only names I recall, were absolutely friendly, helpful and extremely efficient!

This hotel is NOT open and hasn't been for well over a year. However, they are still taking money from customers. Most recently in May 2025. The mobile numbers on the door don't connect. The person listed as a Director on Companies House claims to not have anything to do with it. I live locally and this building is NOT a hotel anymore.

This trip was arranged in September 2024. Our family looking forwards to spending some quality time together. The hotel was called 2 weeks prior to the visit to slightly edit room details, this was done with no issues. The family turned up following Christmas at the agreed booked dates to find the hotel closed, we were turned away being told the hotel is closed for a month. We have requested our deposit back many many times. We have not received any of our money back, no apology, in fact no communication from the hotel at all. The New Birchfield Hotel has fraudulently scammed our family out of our hard-earned money. Do not fall into the same trap.

The New Birchfield Hotel does not trade under Companies House. They trade under UK Paragon Housing Ltd. This organization has fraudulently scammed our family out of our hard-earned money. We booked this hotel a year ago when we stayed here last. Since then it has changed ownership. We travelled over 100 miles with an elderly disabled relative and arrived to be told the hotel was closed. We had not been notified so we had no where to stay (luckily we found an alternative hotel nearby). The hotel refused to refund our deposit at the time, we were told the money would be sent to our bank account in 7 to 14 days. Needless to say, our £300 deposit as not been refunded and, you will notice on the hotel website, there are no contact details. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL, THEY ARE CROOKS.

This is the second part of our visit to the horrible hotel we stayed at on 23/12/2024 where the mice were running around the dining room I have added some photographs showing the black staining around the shower and toilet areas. There is also a hand rail with a brown liquid flowing out which had a distinctive smell of faeces coming from it.

Where to start well I was woken up at 1oclock by another resident shouting because there was someone else in there room as they had the master key for every room in this hotel. When the staff came up at about 2oclock to see what was going on they couldn’t explain how the other resident had the master key and it ended up with the police being called. The person also opened my door to show the staff that the other guy had the master key. There are no cameras in the hallways just one down stairs the main door is supported to be locked at 6 but was still open at 11 o’clock this place is a joke never again will I stay here and would advise others not to bother either

Basic stay
Check in went well. Breakfadt was a decent size and good variety on offer. However things took a turn for the worst when the shower didnt drain, had to get our mid shower for staff to pour drain cleaner down. Returned to shower and it filled even more leaving me trapped in the shower as was unable to opem shower doors due to over flooding. Staff only offereed to go up 2 more levels to shower however this was inconvenient due to being mid shower. Unable to raise wjth staff again on departure as no one was to be seen.
