Sonesta Simply Suites Cleveland Westlake

I reserved my room by phone on the Tuesday before July 12. A professional sounding human took my credit card info, etc. When I arrived July 12th: "Oh, your reservation was cancelled this morning at 11:00 am". Why? "A large group extended their stay and we were overbooked. 'Cash' reservations are let go first." Well, THAT'S bizarre, but why wasn't I informed? "Because the person who took your reservation didn't record your phone number and we had no number to call." I MADE MY RESERVATION WITH MY PHONE - not to mention that they didn't ask for my number! Thank you, Sonesta, for leaving me stuck trying to find a place to stay at 4:00 pm on Saturday afternoon with dinner and evening commitments pending. My take-aways: - Sonesta Suites Cleveland Westlake does not care about honoring paid reservations. - Their technology seems incapable of noting caller phone numbers. - Making a personal phone call to Sonesta Cleveland Westlake is pointless. You may or may not have a reservation. - There is not the slightest prayer I will ever trust the Sonesta name again.

That picture is a LIE! NO POOL! Run away - DO NOT STAY HERE! It be the hottest week of the summer and air conditioner is broke down, pool does not work, internet don't work. And the pond looks like a gator swamp. Everytime you talk to the front desk they say the are working on it. Call J& P Management - they must be in a another state no response. It is a dump here

I woke up with bed bug bites and went to go take a shower and there was no towels I had to dry off with hand towels I was also locked outta my room all night long I had to sleep in my car and that’s just krazy because I had payed for my room I could not even sleep in I went to the front desk and there was no one there so I called the number on the paper that was on the door and I got nothing next day I went up to the fount desk again someone was there and I said I called the number on the paper and her words where I don’t even know what that paper is

Okay so firstly there aren’t many hotels that have basically townhomes available so space wise this is a gem. However space is really the only thing this hotel has going for it. Our 3 bed room came on two floors, makes sense space wise. But no elevators so if you have a wheelchair or are unable to walk upstairs this is not the place for you. As soon as we walked in the smell of **** hit. Honestly I get it, it’s a hotel but then we saw the stains on the carpet and burn holes on the PLASTIC couch. Wow that was uncomfortable. The living room had a tv, along with one in the room with the 2 full beds, and the king upstairs, but NO REMOTES. Front desk was able to provide me with one remote, no big deal. After an outing we came back and my goodness the **** smell was now stronger than ever. I called about it, not really much help there. My assumption is the neighbor downstairs or next door smoked in the bathroom and the vent came right up to our room. Our third morning we were greeted with with the smoke alarm going off, without a reason. Nobody was using any appliances. It went off for about a minutes before stopping on its own. I called the front desk and the stated “maintenance isn’t here on Saturday. The manager is home.” I asked them to have the manager to call me. Ofcourse no such call came through. There is no turndown service, I get it, it’s not that kind of hotel. Trash wise, you have to take it over to the dumpster on your own. I do not recommend

Very noisy from upstairs guests walking constantly. King Size bed that I Reserved for 2 guests for 2 nights a week ahead of time by ******* and never notified me beforehand so I could change my accommodations if desired or needed since I was having Surgery the next day!
