The Hotel Maria

Stayed at The Maria for two glorious days. The hotel is spotless, comfortable and located across the street from their private beach. They have a complimentary snack area in the lobby which offers drinks, coffee, tea and a myriad of wonderful snacks. In addition, breakfast items are offered in the morning. I had a wonderful vegetable and sausage frittata muffin one day but fruit and yogurt are among the other offerings. The staff is welcoming and helpful. And I LOVE the photographs of Maria throughout the building. Takes me back to my own Misquamicut vacations in the 70’s. The restaurant is also amazing! Fresh and delicious food! Loved every minute of my stay and will definitely be back!

Hotel Maria completely blew us away—truly one of the best hotel experiences we’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, the staff was warm, attentive, and incredibly accommodating. Every detail was thoughtfully handled, from the fresh fruit cups and yogurt to the cappuccino and latte station, beach snacks, water bottles, and even spin dresses! It was above and beyond anything we expected. The hotel restaurant was equally outstanding. We had the chicken Parmesan and the most massive, delicious meatballs I’ve ever seen—my son was thrilled. My husband enjoyed the swordfish, and my daughter’s salmon was perfectly cooked. We ended the night lounging on the outdoor couches along the beach road, drinks in hand, brought out to us with a smile. The rooms were beautifully renovated, spotless, and featured balconies perfect for enjoying the ocean air. The hotel provided everything—chairs, umbrellas, towels, bikes, and even convenient parking. The bar staff, hospitality team, and cleaning crew were exceptional. The entire place was meticulous, inviting, and full of heart. My sisters stayed at two different hotels this trip, and after visiting Hotel Maria, we’ve all agreed—this will now be an annual tradition, and we’ll all be staying here together next year and for years to come. Hotel Maria is bar none the best. I wish I could give it more than five stars!

Stayed here Thursday to Monday in an oceanfront room. Enjoyed our balcony overlooking the water. The room was very clean, had a nice layout and spacious bathroom. However, the closet is small and needs to be larger to accommodate more than 6 hanging items. Loved the pantry in the lobby that always was stocked with yummy snacks! Biggest hassle was having the restaurant utilize the same parking lot as the hotel. Since the restaurant gets quite busy for dinner, when we returned from our own dinner out, at times we were stuck taking the corner spot that had a huge truck partially blocking the spot, or adding on to a middle row and hoping we weren’t going to get hit by someone who couldn’t navigate the tight turn it caused. There appears to be a side parking lot that should’ve been opened up during our stay to avoid this hassle. The management was always available with a friendly smile. Note about the restaurant: it is open for dinner only, but they have coffee, cereal and fresh pastries in the pantry in the morning.

Loved it. Had the corner ocean view room and it was wonderful!

Definitely go again

Beautiful and Clean Our stay came at the end of the hotels season, and we were so amazed at how much effort was placed on making aure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Absolutely beautiful and so clean!!! We enjoyed every moment and will definitely be back!!!!
