Pros: The views of the resort are beautiful! The have a band at night. The food was good at the restaurant. Con: It takes a long time to get a meal at the restaurant. Not a problem for us but just fyi. We booked an ocean view room and unfortunately ended up in a room with an obstructed view of the ocean. The roof of the hotel was right in the middle of the balcony. We spoke to front desk and they changed the fee to standard room fee. I was disappointed since I wanted to have a nice view of the ocean. This room should not be advertised as an ocean view. There was a wedding going on so it was loud in the hallway and you can hear everything in the room.

We were so hopeful about our stay at Water’s Edge Resort in CT. The property is gorgeous from the outside but unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. On our first night, we waited over 45 minutes for food at the onsite restaurant. Multiple tables seated after us were served promptly, while our server completely ignored us. No check-ins, no explanations. We’re pretty forgiving people, but it was hard to ignore how unprofessional this was. Then we tried to get some sleep only to be kept awake by hours of noise: running, banging, furniture scraping from above us from 9 PM to 7:30 AM. Just when we thought it would end, a loud generator started up around 5 AM, right outside our room. When we called the front desk to ask if something was going on, we were brushed off and laughed at. No resolution, no effort made. At checkout, we mentioned (again, kindly) that the room had been unlivable. The front desk agent (brunette, short hair) didn’t ask how our stay was, didn’t apologize—just gave a snide “Oh….” Completely dismissive. To top it off? We had centipedes crawling on the ceiling of our room. We tried to make the best of it, but this was one of the most impersonal, unpleasant hospitality experiences we’ve had. For the price, and for a resort advertising relaxation and family-friendliness, this was a complete failure. Save your money and your sanity. Look elsewhere.

I wish there was a microwave inside the room but overall it was an excellent place, it exceeded my expectations plus we’re in the best spot I’ve got the best room with great sea view and balcony. We will come back soooooon.

Water's Edge is a wonderful getaway stay. Kick off your cares and enjoy. Staff is supportive and accommodating. Water's Edge is located centrally to CT shoreline experiences. The on-site restaurants are yummy. Looking forward to another stay.

My wife and I were celebrating our 35th anniversary. We were treated as if we were on our honeymoon. The staff was incredible and the entire stay and accommodations were amazing. A special shout out to our waitress Zee who was wonderful and so attentive to every need. We look forward to coming back to see the summer entertainment or for future stays.

Jay is hands down the best server I’ve had at Water’s Edge! So much attention to detail and always going above and beyond! I wish we never had to leave this resort and he’s a huge part of that! We will be back over summer just to visit him! In addition to our time at Datillos we were upgraded to a beautiful suite and I haven’t slept so well in years Comfy beds, fluffy pillows & peace, everything you could ask for from a resort stay 10/10
