Motel needs an update. Room was ok, cleaning acceptable, but AC was noisy and mattress was poor quality. Location is acceptable, value for money 3 out 10. The staff was always in a hurry to get rid of us, not really taking their time to explain even the basic things.

We chose this place based on reviews but it didn't live up to expectations. It was conveniently located to downtown and ok if you're hardly there. The mini fridge and freezer were a good size and worked great, very helpful as we brought our own food and drinks. It was nice they had an indoor pool and hot tub - although the "hot" tub was tepid at best - the same temp as the pool. It was properly hot 3 days into our stay. The bed was rock hard, the room smelled musty, cleaning left behind hair in the shower and on the towels. The AC was crazy loud and it would kick on every 15-20 minutes, but if you didn't keep it on, the room got stuffy and quite hot. The common areas and walkways were covered in trash. It wasn't too expensive, but I expected a better and overall cleaner environment.

I had made reservations for this hotel based on what was shown in the pictures online. However once we checked in it was nothing like the pictures shown. AC made a loud noise, room was very run down. Carpet smelled, was dirty and wet. Curtain rod was broken. Was very dissatisfied and disappointed in this room. We had to leave because a child in our party has severe allergies and started coughing the minute we were in the room. The staff was sketchy, carpets are nasty, dirty and smelled. The back where they show fire pit… is Hicksville with piles of trash with rusty lawn mowers, looks like you walked into a horror movie. DO NOT STAY HERE!!

I would highly recommend this place I feel it is reasonably priced and a good place to stay. What I liked about it it quite after 10:00 pm which they strictly enforced. I would definitely go back again

Cape Sands Inn was in an excellent location. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was a good size, and had a refrigerator with a separate freezer, which I really appreciated. There were plenty of teabags, a little thing, but important to a tea drinker. It was lovely sitting on the balcony overlooking the water and the abundant flowers. The Inn is somewhat dated, but had everything we wanted.

Cape Sands is a friendly motel that is independently owned. The motel is more in the style of the typical beach hotels of the 80s and 90s.... affordable, comfortable , safe, clean and a pool in the parking lot. What is lacks in modern luxuries, it makes up for in price. Considering the fact you are on the Cape to go to the beach, cruise to see whales/seals, fish the open seas or shop in unique shops, who needs a weight room, on site retsurant or spa facilities. Cape Sands is a gem worth finding.
