Great place!!! Everything and everyone was so nice!! We will be back!

Booked this hotel last minute on Juneteenth . It exceeded all expectations and I will definitely stay here again ! The rooms were spacious and clean . Both my daughter and myself had a great night sleep . The outdoor space was so cute . Adirondack chairs overlooking the bay , fire pits , outdoor pool . Everything was clean and well taken care of . The pub was also a nice touch . Only serves beverages so need to order food to have delivered . This was a non issue as plenty of local suggestions . Bartender adorable .

We’ve gone here for 20 years for various annual events, but this last visit proved most unsatisfactory regards management’s attitude towards guest needs. The evening of our arrival we discovered the toilet wouldn’t flush. The front desk said the building engineer was gone for the night, not to return until 8am the next day. The front desk clerk would not come to our aid (“not my job”). I pressed to speak to the manager or owner, but only got the desk clerk’s word that he’d called for advice and related the manager said “they’ll just have to wait til morning “. A working toilet is essential when it’s needed, and it was needed several times over night. Hiking hallways to the nearest common toilet was the hotel’s “solution” for us. At 8am next day I called the desk asking when the “engineer “ would arrive to fix our toilet. When told he was working on other matters, after which he’d get to us I lost it. Purposefully direct and assertive (not nasty, threatening, or off color) I insisted in no uncertain terms that the engineer must be at my door in 5 minutes. He did arrive, did a fix in under 5 minutes, and apologized for the delay. The service staff (aside from the night clerk) were superb - attentive, thoughtful, and quick to help. But management is bereft of reason and purpose. Guests always must come first, especially in an emergency situation (and a malfunctioning toilet certainly qualifies as an emergency). If you stay here, hope you have no system failures. Because management and the night clerk are the opposite of helpful.

We booked one of their top rooms for a "get out of dodge" weekend. Very overpriced for what you get. First the positives: Excellent front desk staff, awesome view and very clean room. Now the negatives: The mattress was one of the most uncomfortable I've ever tried to sleep on and the bed pad was never put on right plus it was too big. We would up with large waves of bunched up pad underneath us. The fan in the bathroom did not shut off when the light was shut off. The woman at the front desk stated that it should go off accordingly and asked if we'd like maintenance to look at it. We said yes. They showed up promptly and told us it does not shut off with the switch due to air circulation issues. It eventually shut off some time during the night. We turned the temp down at bedtime but that resulted in the a/c turning on, sounding like a jet taking off. Furnishings were reminiscent of what should be in a Motel 6. In general, room was outdated. Our room overlooked the patio as well as the bay. Friday night there were rowdy people outside until 12:30 am. Saturday night two people were arguing very loudly around midnight on the patio and someone kept beeping a car horn in the parking lot. The breakfast food was not good at all. Scrambled eggs could not be eaten-they tasted like they had been brined in salt water. Hash browns were under-cooked and pastries tasted like they had been frozen. Coffee was average. Others were not happy with the food. Will never stay here again.
