Absolutely it’s the worst Marriott property at which I've ever stayed. I’m a loyal customer, a Gold Elite Level with 22 years Marriott Membership. I just experienced a nightmare stay before welcoming the Labor Day last holiday weekend! There are some very dangerous hazards of the injury to the customer in Room 408 and Room 418, and could not be passed the check before offering to any customer. My hand was hurt when I hold the steel handle to close the slide glass door of the bath room, because the steel handle never be polished to smooth surface, instead of full of steel sharp thorns, spikes and prickles. After moving from Room 408 to Room 418, in addition to the same dangerous hazard of injury still exists, and the slide glass door is very difficult to close and open. The sink was blocked and water was very slowly running down.  The worst thing, the air condition was very noisy because of broken plastic grids/blinds. I was Not able to get any sleep. I called front desk at 1:25 am 9/1/25, Labor Day early morning for more than 5 minutes, but no more response. The worst problem is the management of the hotel. The manager Mr Sharod Beach don’t care about customers and ignore their complaints and concerns. I’m so disappointed the way the manger treated me, a loyal and long time Gold Elite Marriott Member, and the way he respond my complaint. I still received NO response after 8 days though he knew my complaint after the Labor Day. My several previous experience with Marriott family hotels was that a Director of Customer Service or a Manager of the Hotel would not only gave me a prompt response after I expressed my complaint, and also offered me some compensation showing their apologies. But this manager Mr Sharod Beach is quite calm! Even after 8 days! No any response and ignoring customer’s complaints and request! What an arrogance and conceit manager! This hotel needs an overall improvement, both from the hardware and maintenance of hotel, and from the management as well, especially need to improve customer service! The manager of the hotel is the key! As a matter of fact this was the worst Marriott I've been in. Why could Marriott’s family accept this kind of ridiculous low quality hotel to ruin Marriott fame!

My experience at the SpringHill Suites by Marriott Providence West Warwick was nothing short of frustrating and disappointing. I stayed for four days, and from the start, there were issues that no one at the hotel seemed interested in addressing. First, the in-room refrigerator froze and ruined all of my groceries — a significant inconvenience, especially during a longer stay. I reported the issue promptly, and the staff took down my room number and phone number, assuring me that a manager would follow up. That never happened. I waited for hours in my room expecting someone to come by or at least call. Nothing. No manager, no staff, no communication. When I checked back at the front desk, the desk clerk simply relayed a message that management would be reducing my bill and offering 5,000 Marriott Bonvoy points as compensation. As of this review, neither the discount nor the points have been applied. This lack of follow-through and avoidance of direct communication was incredibly unprofessional. It felt like the staff was only willing to engage with guests when things were going smoothly — anything outside of that, and they disappeared. That’s not how hospitality should work. Hotels have one fundamental job: make every guest feel welcomed, respected, and valued. It shouldn’t matter if the stay is paid by a company or out of pocket — every guest deserves attention and accountability. Unfortunately, that basic standard was completely missed here. I won’t be returning, and I can’t recommend this location to anyone — especially business travelers who expect reliable service and professional communication.

Stayed here for one night enroute back home. The elderly man that checked us in was very professional and neatly dressed. Not something that you routinely find in hotels any longer. Be aware that upon check in they put a $50 PLUS a $20 hold on my VISA. $70 seems extreme for at a hotel of this level. However, another Springhill Suites that we recently stayed at did a similar charge. Do know that this is a very old built Springhill. However, they have maintained the interior quite well and it does serve the purpose for 1 or 2 nights. The bathroom is old style where Marriott used to build the bath/toilet area on an angle and the sink area does definately need brighter lighting. Also, the “kitchenette” area does have a microwave but not a sink like the newer properties do have. The breakfast was very basic, but not as much selection as other Springhill or Fairfield properties. Overall, decent stay as long as the price is right.

We had a wonderful stay at SpringHill Suites and wanted to give a special shoutout to two outstanding team members who truly made our visit memorable. Sharod Beach, the manager, went above and beyond—working multiple back-to-back shifts and still managing to greet guests with a warm smile, a kind word, and helpful attitude every time we saw him. His dedication and professionalism set the tone for the entire hotel. Donavan, who ran the breakfast area and seemed to be everywhere lending a hand, was equally impressive. He kept everything running smoothly, made sure guests were well taken care of, and did it all with great energy and a friendly demeanor. This level of service is rare, especially at a decently priced hotel, and it made all the difference. Thank you to Sharod, Donavan, and the entire SpringHill Suites team for making our stay so enjoyable—we’ll definitely be back!

Nice clean hotel about 30 minutes from Newport RI just off of I-95. Very friendly front desk staff. Clean room. Comfortable bed. Clean shower. Nice area of town with restaurants and grocery store close by. Would stay again if traveling through the area

Everything was great, except the hot tub seemed to have way too many chemicals, it burned my eyes to just stand on the side of the hot tub (which was disappointing since the hot tub was a big point to why we chose this hotel)

The Staff was excellent in their service and assistance whenever we had an issue or a question, the cleaning staff was also very helpful and friendly. The hotel had an elevator issue but it never hindered the flow of persons staying there, will return to this location anytime.
