Staff in the pub were really friendly at check-in. The room was clean, although dated and basic. Quirky building with nice beams and features. Bedding was crisp and clean, as were the towels. The shower needed an update. Nice touch of complimentary toiletries. The car park only holds about 4 cars and doubles up as the beer garden/decking area. Depending on what you drive depends on how easy it is to get in and out. Nice village to have a look round also.

We arrived on Monday the 9 th of June and stayed until Thursday 12th. We arrived at the Kings Arms and were welcomed by the manager who showed us to our room, it was perfect ground floor big room, with TV, kettle, coffee, tea, etc. Big bathroom with beautiful bath. We were well impressed there was a sitting area outside also. The pub does happy hour on 7 types of beer between 3/4 for £3. Free bottles of water while staying. The staff were so good, the cleaner was great too I asked if she could get me a Heater as the room was cold of the first night, no issue she brought one for us, she also provided clean towels each day. There is no food but he recommended places to eat which we did,and they were really close. We did however eat some of the warm pork scratching that is sold in the pub and it's delicious. For people wanting to try this lovely old pub is that the car park is literally tiny only fits 4 cars but is places near by that is free parking. We managed to park there for our whole visit luckily.

Lovely room in nice location. Staff friendly and relaxed. Very generous toiletries and tea/coffee/milk/biscuits for such a good price. A very enjoyable stay. Thankyou!

Don’t waste your money If you want a good nights sleep, don’t book this. Loud music until later than the confirmed 11pm, people couldn’t get back into the b&b after 11pm so was knocking angrily for too long, there was a tv playing loud enough for me to have listened to full shows from 11-4am of the bill, police under cover and antiques roadshow which I obviously did not want to do(turns out the room next door with the tv blaring didn’t even have the decency to close their door - hence the noise, I don’t want to know what was going on in there) . The bedrooms are just about clean, the carpets haven’t been cleaned since 1865, pug sockets are filthy, the beds are SO uncomfortable, we had to put pillows at the bottom of the door which I know is not safe - but with a gap the side of your thumb letting in light and noise it it was the only small hope we had, the ceiling lighting doesn’t work only small damaged side lights available. Not a fridge or bottle in water in sight, I’m lucky I’m not going home via 999 with dehydration. I wouldn’t ever stay again & I will sadly be sharing the awful stories of the worst nights sleep in 2025 with my friends.

I had originally planned to stay for several nights (which was booked and paid for), but we ended up staying for six nights. During our time there, we enjoyed a few drinks with the locals and got to know them over the course of a few days. One evening, we returned to the accommodation located at the back, where my colleague and I shared some lighthearted moments (keeping the noise to a minimum). However, after about 15 minutes, we were confronted by the general manager, Barry, who warned us that if we did not lower our volume, we would be asked to leave. This incident occurred at 5:30 PM after just 20 minutes of laughter with a coworker. On a positive note, the staff were exceptional and provided excellent service. Unfortunately, we felt so uncomfortable that we decided to leave on Sunday night, resulting in us having to pay for accommodation twice since we were working in the area. I would not recommend staying here unless you are prepared to maintain complete silence at all times.
