We went to OC for our 38 yr anniversary staff was great rooms big and clean breakfast was wonderful pool was clean and open

Absolute mess! I booked two rooms. They reserved three for me. Ultimately, I didn't need them. I first cancelled one onliine. All good. The a few days later I realized I didn't need any of them. When I called to cancel the other one they informed me it was two. So, phew, I was glad I called but cancelled both by calling the hotel directly. Whatever happened the rooms never got cancelled. Cut to one week before the reservation, they charge my credit card. I called THAT NIGHT but the hotel clerk told me I had to call back tomorrow and speak with a manager. Fair enough. I call back. They will not BUDGE on a refund. Even though I explained that I cancelled by phone and even sent them a screen shot of my four minute conversation to their front desk well within the time frame. Still they will not budge. They REFUSE to refund my money. Out a LOT of money for rooms I can't use and which could be booked three times over since it's White Marlin Weekend in OC. Terrible customer service. Steer clear.

Just ok. Housekeeping is by request only - which is fine, but 2 different staff members didn't know what a bath mat was when I requested one. Both times, I received more washcloths. Breakfast is pathetic - only carbs/breads and sugar cereal. Oranges and waxy apples. Fresh bananas wouldn't be too much to ask for, along with some eggs and meat. ALL other chains offer these items. A male staff member yelled at my family for using the stairs when he was cleaning. The reasoning was simple - 1 elevator for 4 floors, during check-in time. It was in use so we took 1 flight of stairs. The charge a fictitious "resort fee" when it's a normal hotel with a pool and fitness room. No other "resort" amenities. Our room door wouldn't shut properly and the internet is not good. Lastly, I contacted both Wyndham corporate and the property owner directly to try to set up a group rate. Neither one could bother to respond. We'll go somewhere else next time and get a decent breakfast and good service.

The pillows were comfortable as well as the bed. When I needed clean towels I asked housekeeping while they were on the floor and put the dirty towels outside my door. The hot tub and pool were amazing. I would stay here again since it’s so close to everything. The only thing is going over the bridge to the beach in a Friday and Saturday night is a bit hectic due to traffic but other than that it was a great stay.

Overall clean hotel, WiFi and breakfast could’ve been better. It was close to a lot restaurants and ice cream. Also across the street there were go karts and mini golf. Really close to beach!

I had an amazing experience, the staff was super helpful and understanding, the room was very clean and it was overall just a really good place to stay for the weekend. I would definitely come back.
