The room was small (but that wasn’t the issue) when I went in I immediately started spraying everything down with Lysol the smell of the room was old I went to buy candles to lit. We had to ask them to come change the sheets because it had holes and stains in them. They couldn’t change both beds because they didn’t have more sheets so we had to wait till they washed more then come change them. We didn’t have enough towels in the room for it to be a queen room but again we had to wait til towels got washed and dried to get more. The carpet was a mess it was filthy and sticky we had to keep shoes on to walk on the toilet. Shower was too small can nearly fit in it. We couldn’t get any towels on the day we checked out because they said we were a checked out so they didn’t give us towels so we couldn’t take shower before we left we had to wash our old towels and use them. But we got what we paid for but I still at least expected us to have a clean bed nd towels down

Absolute dump run by criminals. I booked a stay online, upon arrival I was issued room 126. When I opened the door I was immediately hit with a very strong odour of mold and mildew. The room was beat up bad, broken furniture, and just about everything was worn out. The carpet was wet towards the back of the room and a good size hole had been cut in the back wall near the floor, water could be seen pooling on the other side of the wall. Obviously a band aid fix to a major water problem that had been left long enough that mold had formed. The room was not fit for habitation so I requested another room and was told there were no more available. I had to go to another hotel for accommodations that night but econo lodge charged my credit card for the room that was not habitable anyways. i called and was told that I was charged as I had stayed the night, news to me? I complained to head office of choice hotels and they said the hotels are independently run and they had no authority over how they were run. It took 3 months to get a refund though my bank and both myself and my wife had to tell the bank that we did not stay the night and I had to provide a receipt from the hotel and did stay at. Econo lodge lied to the bank and the booking office about me not staying and tried to maintain the lie just to make an easy dollar. I will never again stay at an econo lodge anywhere nor will I stay at any choice hotel facility as they do not call about the clientele, their properties or their brand. They only care about the money and are more than willing to lie, cheat and steal to get it.

It's bad when the only thing going for a place is the Wifi. Wanted to book a pool and breakfast place, the hotel we stayed half way down on our trip wasn't available, this was the only other thing close in our price range (and it was inflated from the normal, something was going on this weekend). The only trouble is, the pool is full of dirty water and trash, and "breakfast" is coffee, nothing more. Beds were not uncomfortable, but they were thin. Pillows were lumpy, sheets smelled like they were washed, but were also getting old, had holes and stains. Sheet was made on top of blanket, and no sheet between blanket and bed, so we had to remake them. Shower was interesting. It's a standup unit with no tub, and you have to duck under the shower head to get in. Pressure was good, water was hot. So this wasn't bad. But you will have to get out to get dry, as you have to go under the head again, and it drips for minutes. And if you are traveling with four, you will need to request more towels. I think the head of the cleaning staff came to inspect whether the customary two were there before giving us two more, and she was almost put out that we would need 4 in the first place. No security lock on our door. It was noisy from the highway, and we weren't even facing it. While there were other families like ours with shell shocked faces with how bad the place was, there were also other people who were on the sketchy side. I know that Covid hit the hotel industry hard. Judging by how reviews here used to be, I'm guessing this hotel took a large hit. i hope they are able to rebuild to where they once were. But your sleep is important. We found it hard to sleep here. We wanted a bit of fun, well, I guess having Wifi counts, but the pool may as well be nonexistent with how much it's decayed without proper maintenance. We wanted a quick breakfast so we could leave early, we got none, not even a carry away bag. Doors with no security lock, doors that even when closed there's light shining through (I passed quite a few of these) are not acceptable. You may not want to, but spend the extra money. Go somewhere else nearby. You'll thank me for it when you do. And Sam P? I know you are going to reply to this and say you'll take my review under advisement. I'm sorry, nothing you can say matters. How this place turned into a dive, I don't know, but I won't ever stay here again unless it says, "under new ownership/management" and has had a total refurb done. This should be shameful.

I used one of those discount sites and was not surprised at the room. Check-in was easy and when I went to my room some of the steps had pieces broken off. There was a coffee machine in the room and the Cable worked fine, not a lot of channels though. The shower worked well and I didn't use the WiFi. It had noise coming from the interstate, but that didn't mess with my sleep. I wasn't surprised with the room. There were a few insects in the bathroom and I saw a roach....but no bedbugs.
