Seamill Hydro Hotel

Out stay was amazing beautiful hotel grounds were stunning ,room was fabulous.The only thing I would say it took an exceptionally a long time to get a drink on the terrace,there was a wedding on in the hotel as a result they wee short staffed this has not put me off as I will book again soon.

Beautiful hotel had a lovely relaxing stay. Food was lovely really nice breakfast too. Staff were very helpful and really nice. Pool area is good not to busy. Not much round about but perfect if you want a quiet relaxing time away. Would definitely recommend. Will go back again.

Recently stayed at the hotel overnight for a family wedding, wedding was absolutely beautiful, food was amazing, staff were very friendly especially breakfast staff nothing was a bother, unfortunately once we checked into our bedroom room 7 we were absolutely disgusted with the lack of cleanliness. Dust was everywhere on tv, mirrors, lamps, side tables, marks on the bedsheets, the bathroom floor was absolutely filthy it looked as if it had been completely missed when housekeeping made the room up. The bathroom door was filthy with finger marks from previous guests all over how this had been missed baffles me. The shower head had years of dust buildup on top. The toilet was all stained and had not been cleaned properly. Now I know the hotel rooms are going under some major renovations but just because the furniture is dated or older does not mean a dated room has to be a dirty room. I’ve worked for RAD in the past and know that this is not what the owners would expect the rooms to be like. I doubt the room had been checked by a supervisor or manager to pass room inspections and if it had they seriously need to be shown how to do the job properly and up to the RAD standard. So disappointing Seamill Hydro such a lovely venue it has a long way to go

I had booked the “all about mum” package for 2 people. Use of the leisure facilities and afternoon tea with a glass of prosecco. I had an issue booking this in the first place from rude staff members and not been correctly put through to the right department. On the call I made note of the Afternoon tea which I was asked to pick a time which was 1300, this was fully booked and confirmed. On arrival at the venue, I was met by a member of staff who could not find my booking, then I stated we had afternoon tea booked at 1300, which she stated no sorry that’s not correct, she stated the afternoon tea was only between certain times which we were not told on booking (since then I have now seen this on the voucher). We were shoved towels and told where to go. The pool and sides were not up to a good standard, cleanliness was an issue. On going for lunch I had to ask where to go and how to get to the restaurant which was met by a uninterested staff member stating “you go down there”. On arrival at the restaurant the chairs were stained, the carpet was cut onto bits and frayed at the edges. The wooden panels on the walls where cut in the middle showing all the joins, not painted and nails showing. If this is being refurbished then it should have not been open to the public as this was not fit for purpose. We received our afternoon tea and Pot of tea. The food was really not up to standard, the cupcake was cold (clearly taken out the fridge) stale, dry and the mini eggs on top the outside was all melted. The cakes were all cold and “sweating” since they hit the warm air. I understand these need to be kept in fridge but should have been left out before served. The voucher was for a glass of prosecco each which again was never offered or presented to us and by this stage we just wished to leave. We hadto go up and ask staff if we had to pay anything further as they never came back to our table once the food was delivered.

Used vouchers for my 30th Birthday for our stay. The hotel was lovely and the views and amazing. We were given a room outside the hotel but it was very disappointing. Really dated and didn’t reflect the price or the other standards of the hotel. The receptionist did say that the rooms were being closed off for renovations soon but wish we’d known this before we booked or were made aware of this as we’d have booked another room or another hotel.
