Please beware! This hotel cancelled our reservation on the morning of the stay and hasn’t provided a refund. They emailed (in response to our query) on the morning of our reservation, to advise they could not accommodate us due to unforeseen circumstances. They arranged a reservation at Premier Inn as a replacement - which is clearly all fine in principle. What they didn't say is that we would have to pay AGAIN for the Premier Inn on arrival (at 11.30pm with 2 children!) and that they would claim to reimburse us - only to delete their email or block us and they are now refusing to deal with the booking agent or ourselves directly. A complete scam organization leaving us out of pocket when money is tight - heading away on holiday. I fully accept things happen, the decent thing would be to either refund or at lease reimburse the cost of any alternative arrangements. DO NOT USE THEM!

The bedroom was very nice and clean, breakfast was a great english breakfast

Average experience We recently stayed at Harmdonsworth Hall. The listing indicated there was free secure parking on site, but the car park is opposite the building and slightly down the road (so you cannot see your vehicle from the guest house), and is quite small and insecure. We were taken to our room, which was very large and relatively comfortable. However, some cleaning cloths had been left lying around and the room seemed unfinished as we had not been left with any mugs for the tea/coffee. When I tried to find someone within 10 minutes of our arrival to ask about the mugs, there was no one on site to help me. The shower was awful and did not work properly. We left early the next morning so we did not have an opportunity to have the breakfast or speak to any staff before we left.

I just like yhe fact that it's a quiet place.
