Overcombe House

David and John were excellent hosts. We had everything we needed and more. Breakfasts were brilliant. Bed and pillows so comfortable. Great location for us, our family live in Horrabridge, so we were only a few minutes walk from them. All in all a great stay, thank you David and John.

Overcombe House was a true delight in a beautiful area. Our hosts David and John were very welcoming, kind and very helpful with suggestions for meals out and places to see and things to do. My friend and I both agreed that they had put a lot of thought into the rooms, which had very comfortable beds. The hospitality was wonderful in our room with Green and Black chocolates, delicious biscuits, tea, hot chocolate and best of all (for my friend), a Nespresso coffee machine. I cannot praise the breakfasts enough, so much choice , with delicious local produce, all beautifully prepared. There was also fresh fruit salad, cereals and Skyr yoghurt. The scrambled eggs were perfect. They really went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and had all we needed. There was also scrumptious marmalade made by John. We had an amazing view from our bedroom window. Overcombe House is somewhere I would like to return to again and again. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. Jan Lord.

John and David were excellent hosts, particularly given the personal difficulties I faced when my husband was unexpectedly hospitalized. They willingly accommodated our requests to extend our stay which was so helpful. Breakfasts were great and the added touch of providing fruit to take to my husband in hospital was so kind. The room was tastefully decorated, light and airy with a beautiful view of the valley. The spacious bathroom was also much appreciated. Highly recommend.

We had a brilliant stay at Overcombe, David and John couldn’t do enough for us and were so friendly and welcoming. The rooms had everything we needed, the beds were really comfortable and the breakfasts delicious. It was a perfect location for us as we were visiting relatives nearby. Thank you to them both, we shall be back.

Had a lovely long weekend staying at Overcombe House in Horrabridge. Excellent room with a comfortable bed, facilities and excellent breakfasts with a wonderful choice! Very friendly obliging hosts in David and John too.

Overcombe House was convenient to the venue for a wedding we were attending. It ticked all the right boxes for us regarding Covid, had great reviews especially about the amazing breakfast's and the website was helpful with good pictures of the rooms. David & John were fantastic hosts who made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived, nothing was too much trouble and they are completely dedicated to their well run B&B in a stunning part of Devon. They both have personalities that add an extra "bonus" to your stay. The room was spotless with great bed linen, a comfortable bed and the pillows were the best ever! The breakfast's filled us up for the day. You will have made a fantastic choice if you have booked already and if not what not! We will keep in the touch with the boys and be back one day.
