Hotel was perfect

Terrible hotel. I've been using Hilton properties for years, and this was my worst experience. No hot water; no shampoo in their "new and improved, better for the environment" mounted dispensers; cooling unit was on the fritz, soaked our carpet; asked to move to another room via phone call - they told me they were busy and that they would call back...they did not, so we had to go down and demand service. Worst of all? 45,000 points for this train wreck of a room. I've was Diamond level for years... now the Marriott is going to get my business.

This was the third time in three years we have stayed at this hotel for the Great Ohio Toy Show nearby in Xenia. For the first time, the indoor pool was completely unusable. The water was so cold that my daughter's teeth were chattering when she tried to swim. When I spoke to the front desk clerk, he seemed surprised and stated no one had mentioned it to him previously. He also stated the pool is not "heated" and the water temp would likely stay in the 70s. I find it highly unlikely that no other families complained to staff, as the hotel was full of kids in town for softball, baseball and basketball tournaments and none of the families we encountered in the pool area were happy or satisfied. This was the first year the pool was not heated, seemingly at all. The past two years, with MUCH colder March weather outside, the pool was warm and comfortable to use. For us, being able to swim at night is a required amenity, and I will absolutely be price shopping at the other nearby Hilton properties when we return for the fall toy show. It's really too bad, too, because otherwise the hotel is great. The rooms are clean, the free breakfast is well appointed, and it is in a great location. I would rather pay more money to stay at a different hotel than stay here again at a lower price but without one of the main amenities we want in a hotel.

I appreciated the quiet atmosphere and good night's sleep. As a Gold Hilton member, I received the standard water bottles, though no snack. While the hotel's decor is showing its age, everything functioned well. The breakfast selection was somewhat limited and repetitive, particularly the hot options and tea selection. I plan to explore other Hilton properties in the area on my next visit.

It was ok. Other hotels priced the same. Shower only got “warm” at best. Breakfast was not what was pictured. Not omelettes, just rounded eggs. No smoothies or pressed juices at all

The staff was friendly and the room was clean and spacious!
