Arrived at our allotted time, no one on reception as indeed through the entire stay. First impressions are marred by the very poor carpet throughout the entrance, hallways and stairs. Covered in spills and marks and very poorly “fitted” with bare edges at doors and lift entrances. This really does not inspire you on arrival. Once in the apartment the mood raised as very tidy and clean with all promised supplies and amenities. Only one slight gripe in that a hot shower is not possible despite good hot water being available from the boiler. I guess the temp control valve is adjusted right down if the water comes from the boiler. Well appointed apartment furnished nicely with crisp clean bedding on a comfortable bed. We enjoyed our stay very much thank you

Stayed for a birthday weekend. The location is excellent with great access to west bridgeford high street and walking distance to the city. The website for birchover boasts a luxury experience but it didn’t live up to this in reality. There were marks all over the walls and furniture, stains on the bed linen, mountains of dust and a cobweb full of dead bugs in the bathroom. The hairdryer was broken so my wife couldn’t dry her hair for a night out. We were only given one tea bag for two people and the ‘superfast’ WiFi was completely unusable. The lift was also broken. We paid over £200 which is expensive for Nottingham so we’re hoping for something special but we’re disappointed.

Avoid at all costs not worth the money. There is nobody manning the reception desk so to get into the building you have to use a key code and then once in the building the lift was out of order (for the whole weekend) so after hauling our suitcases upstairs we then had to use another key safe to get into the apartment (these are not easy to use if you don't use them reguarly). There is stains en route to the apartment all over the carpets and also there was a dirty Stanley blade sticking up out of the carpet and a screw luckily we had sturdy shoes on. Once in the apartment it looked lovely at first until you start to notice how dirty things are or how many things don't work. Such as the heating this was impossible to get on as the boiler turns itself on and off so it was freezing all night but the blankets provided on the beds were actually crusty in places so we didnt use these we just had to layer up. The showers were a nightmare aswell not staying warm for longer than 30 seconds. The bathroom door didn't lock so no privacy and the light switches were temperamental. There was stains on a chause lounge in the bedroom and on the sofas. The floor was so sticky and the dishwasher stunk to high heavens. In one of the bedrooms there was around 50 dead ladybugs embedded into the carpet scattered all over. Whilst out for a meal on our last night one of the bedroom windows was smashed from the outside and nobody was on hand to help because there is no staff in the building. The toilet in the main reception area never had toilet rolls and we were provided with 1 toilet roll in the apartment between 8 people. We did see a cleaner on the last day but you cam tell the whole place is only spot cleaned not actually cleaned because under the beds were filthy and the skirting boards were thick with dust. It is in a good location but definitely not worth the money. Find somewhere else a travel lodge would probably be better.

We are just back from a 2 night stay in the birchover apartments. Overall the location was great and easy to locate via our GPS, within walking distance of 2 co-ops an Asda is a 5 minute drive and plenty of bars, restaurants and take aways. The apartment was decorated nicely and there was milk and cereal provided upon arrival. Firstly I would like to address the cleanliness of the apartment which needs to be addressed IMMEDIATELY . On first glance the apartment looked fine however we later realised the place lacked basic hygiene: the fan was full of dust and dirt which made it unusable especially with the room being so hot at night time, the utensils were considerably dirty etc pots, pans, cutlery. Whilst picking something up from the floor we also noticed under the bed was severely filthy which is something that should be addressed to house keeping. The apartment was also very warm and with the window not being able to open more than a couple of inches it was very hard to get a decent night sleep. This would have been prevented if the fan provided was clean enough to be able to use. Overall there are several areas that could be addressed to improve people’s stay in the future. I would however like to point out that whilst contacting the hotel with several queries the person over the phone was very helpful, polite and friendly and answered all our questions. The apartments have plenty of potential I think they just lack care and the basics of what should be required for guests.

It could be a beautiful 3 bed apartment (Chatsworth suite) in central location in a lovely old building - unfortunately a worn out sofa, tired walls with marks that need repainting and to top it all - puke stains in carpet from top of the stairs going down the stairs. Disgusting! It looked like someone had thrown up just recently and it had been cleaned half heartedly. I contacted management and was told they were aware of it as this had happened a couple of months before, it had been cleaned (? didn’t look like it) and the owner has said several times that the carpets would be changed, but not sure when. So they knew about it and still rented it out. I was told to contact the owner which I did several times via email, but no reply, not even an apology. To add to the great house keeping we found some discarded clothes in one of the chest of drawers - so obviously not checked the apartment after each visit.

This place is wonderful. Right in the centre of West Bridgford with plenty of available parking if the designated car park is full. We were attending a friend's birthday party and Birchover Residences was recommended as a good place to stay relatively close to the party venue. We had a three bedroom apartment which was very large with plenty of room for all of us. Very comfortable. Milk, tea, coffee and cereals were provided and check in was so easy. Would recommend as a great place to stay if visiting this area.

Please please DO NOT BOOK these apartments, especially for a wedding. These apartments are described as luxury and couldn't be further from it. They need a total refresh and will the dirty stains on carpets and damp patches over the walls are not a good setting for any wedding photos. The owner is extremely rude when I complained and clearly thinks they offer good value for money at £300 a night. DO NOT BOOK. Whilst the apartment was spacious that does not make up for anything else about it.

Stayed here with friends overnight after going to watch England v New Zealand at Trent Bridge. I was somewhat apprehensive after reading some of the reviews on here, my experience was entirely positive. We stayed in the Musters Suite, it was clean, the decor was very nice. It was equipped with with with a dishwasher, washing machine and a fridge freezer, and an electric oven. There was also a good supply and crockery and cookware which we made use off when cooking breakfast. The bedrooms were lovely and all the beds very comfortable, I don’t usually sleep well away from home, but slept like a log here. I’d read comments about Carl being unfriendly, but in my dealings with him, via email and on the phone, found him to be polite and professional I’d highly recommend these apartments, and when I hopefully watch more cricket at Trent Bridge, I’ll be delighted to stay here again.

We booked this 3 bed apartment for our Daughters graduation ceremony celebration , for 6 people. It needs a complete refurbishment. Dirty sofa, broken smoke alarm, heavily stained carpets in upstairs room, cheap pillows and bedding, scuffs and marks on walls, only one bathroom and toilet to serve 6 adults! Was totally mislead by the online photos, our apartment looked nothing like them! Tried to contact by email twice, but no reply, very disappointing, avoid at all costs.
