Oh my gosh where do i begin? After a stressful week and feeling unwell, this was a hidden gem. The countryside is beautiful and the farm is bliss. When we arrived for one night, it was so peaceful and we were surrounded by sheep, chickens and goats. All the stress fell away immediately. The hosts were sooo friendly and spent the time to talk to us about the goats and their life there. We pre-ordered breakfast for a time that suited us. The room was far better than a hotel room. Shower lovely, bed super comfy - I slept in until 8.30 for the first time ever. To top it off, our evening was spent eating a chippy and a can of dandelion and burdock on our bed in our jammies! The chippy in Alfreton village (Wessington Chip Shop - super friendly) made the best chips. In the morning we opened our curtains to see the goats and chickens walking past to the field! I have seen a couple of reviews that complain about the rooms and the road being rough - my room was perfect and the road was just a country road - put it this way - we managed perfectly in a F type Jag! Thank you so much to the hosts - we cant wait to come back and possibly move in!!

Had the most loveliest Easter weekend at this absolute gem of a place! We had 2 touring caravan pitches on their CL site 2, which has the most amazing views, and our parents joined us for an evening in the B&B which is simply lovely! My parents were extremely impressed with the standard and cleanliness of the room and we all very much enjoyed the cooked breakfast! Such a lovely place to stay, Kate was a great host and more than happy for us to engage with the farmyard animals which made our stay even more special! We’ll definitely be returning!

We've stayed here several times now and once again from the friendly welcome to our leaving everything was excellent. I think that we have just about slept in every room now over the last four years and this time we had number 6. Like all the other rooms it was spotlessly clean, comfortable and spacious and everything worked. The bathroom is spacious and a great shower. This room has been adapted for people with mobility issues and whilst we do not need this it is clear that there would be absolutely no problem for anyone that did. As always a great breakfast, freshly cooked and filling. which makes a good end to the stay. I look forward to my next time there.

What can I say this place is beautiful in every way. From the beautiful setting, to the spacious comfortable, spotlessly clean rooms, to a wonderful breakfast, cooked to perfection. And a very friendly family who are all great. A massive thank you to Kate and the family for accomaditing us. The farm is amazing and if you love animals this is an absolute must for you. The farm is central to many local attractions. We loved our stay and look forward to visiting again in the near future . Thank you again

Excellent place to stay - very quiet, peaceful and spotlessly clean. We were staying overnight for a family wedding in the area and couldn’t have chosen better. This was topped off with a wonderful breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble and we arrived early and needed a room just to get changed. This was no problem and we were accommodated easily. Friendly place great location can’t praise it enough.

What a gem this place is. Everyone friendly and helpful. The room was spotless and comfortable bed. Breakfast was very appetising. Plenty of space for parking. Originally had booked for 3 nights checked with Kate to see if we could stay an extra night, which she managed to arrange. Loved the goats especially Lionel. Will certainly return and thank you to everyone.

It really is a comfortable, tranquil haven. The room (5) was very clean, nicely decorated, with a great en suite. There was a decent tv, and nice tea and coffee making facilities. The room had just had a new carpet laid. There was no disturbance from traffic or other guests. The parking space was plentiful. Breakfast was beautifully cooked, and comprised excellent quality components (bacon and sausages supplied by local butcher). I’ve not had a better cooked breakfast. The hosts are friendly and accommodating without being intrusive. This is the second time I’ve stayed, and won’t hesitate to return, in fact it’s so good I want to stay again.
