Holiday Inn Express & Suites Wentzville ST Louis West

Came to the area for a Class Reunion and stayed at the Local Holiday Inn Express, the only complaint I have is this hotel and all hotels need Ceiling Fans. The A/C units are not enough. Check in/Out was Perfect, room was nice and spacious and Clean. Breakfast was good as well.

I had 3 interactions with different people at the front desk and all were helpful & friendly! Hotel lobby was pristine and nicely arranged for guests. We didn’t go to the pool but I chatted with a family of 4 with 2 kids and they said it was nice. They said it was a salt water pool and the water seemed to be heated; no hot tub though. Our room was clean and had plenty of places to put our stuff. Beds & pillows were comfortable. The only thing we didn’t like is how the A/C worked…it was warm & muggy when we arrived and it took awhile for the room to cool down. The wall thermostat worked but took longer than I’d expect to respond. Luckily, I travel w/ a fold up Vornado fan so that helped circulate the air. Breakfast: WOW! This is the best hotel breakfast we’ve ever had at a hotel! My husband is always in search of a great biscuit & gravy combo and he loved both here. He said if we lived nearby, he’d actually pay to eat breakfast here. It was bacon day today and however they cook it here, it’s perfection! I liked the pancake machine where you only had to press a button and 2 pancakes were cooked quickly (I always seem to make a mess w/the waffle iron contraptions at other hotels) We’re very early risers so we were happy when went down to the lobby around 5am & there was fresh coffee and hot water available. I’ll definitely stay here again if my travels bring me to this area in the future.

The room was cleanish the beds comfy but the floor had hair and dust in the corners. Everything was moist and damp the pool area smelled like black mold and not any hint of clean or chlorine! My husband was appalled and made the kids get out of the pool immediately. There was no bedding for the pull out couch even though we booked a room for 5. I wasn’t impressed. For the price especially. Only good thing was the breakfast and the BBQ restaurant right across the street.

Enjoyed the breakfast! So many options and food was delicious! Also the room was so comfy from the bed to the shower! Great to have coffee in the room but also at breakfast downstairs! Would recommend!

Clean room and friendly staff. Breakfast was good with many choices.
