First of all, the rating from TripAdvisor is a little unfavorable. 3 stars are satisfactory and 4 are very good. I rate it as good with 3 1/2 stars. I came here with different expectations and am leaving with mixed feelings. I'll start with the positive things: - Cleanliness in all areas - Quiet rooms (there were hardly any guests at the moment) - Friendliness of the staff - Free parking - Nature on the doorstep - Balcony with chairs The less positive points: - Small, narrow bathroom - Coat hooks for wet sauna utensils - Dinner in the restaurant We weren't so happy with the seating provided by the restaurant manager for dinner. The short distance to the neighboring table behind the plant not only addresses the Covid distance, but also the lack of privacy. A change was not possible on his part. The selection on the menu was good. The vegetarian burger was boring in taste for the price and too ban-heavy with hardly any flavor of its own from the patty. The fries were partly hard and dry due to the cut. The group's steaks were on point and delicious. -Sports facilities A pool and sauna (Finnish, steam bath and 45 degree sauna). Only 3 people can currently use the sauna. Therefore, it was very busy in the early evening. Unfortunately, I didn't have any fitness equipment or other alternatives for the winter. - Breakfast buffet During Covid and in winter we were probably unlucky and the selection was certainly limited. I probably also had the wrong idea: for me, a sports hotel includes a healthy breakfast and sports equipment. But the emphasis was more on the country inn during the stay. As a sports enthusiast and, above all, someone who eats healthily, I missed alternatives to the platters of sausage products and standard cheese like in other hotels. No tasteless packaged jam, more fresh fruit (instead of melon and almost tasteless pineapple), more alternatives to dairy products (a sign referred to the request for alternatives to milk) and vegetarian sausage-like products would have rounded off the picture. The origin of the numerous meat products was completely ignored. A packaged smoothie, orange juice from a tetra pack, a bowl of uncrushed linseed does not automatically make it healthy (sports hotel). All in all, I felt that the offer and the room price of €175 did not match. I would not have spent so much money on a country inn.
