The Quay B&B

The location of the Quay B&? Is very good as it does sit on the Quay in the harbour front. The reception and sitting area are spacious and there is a coffee/tea/chocolate machine available all the time. As for the room, we booked a sea view which you had to crane your neck for and in fact my view was the roofs of the amusement arcade covered in pigeon crap which smelled if the wind blew it into the room. The place is due for a major refurbishment with many areas of wall needing plastering and painting, and carpet in my room was filthy. We had a message on route to say that breakfast wouldn’t be provided and they left us £10 each in the key box for us to get our own. I found out during my time there that Breakfast hasn’t been served for a long time. I left a “Please service my room” swinger on my door every day but it didn’t get serviced. There was no compensation for that even if they had just gone in and emptied the bin would have been better. There is no parking and they advised me to use adjacent car arks opposite. That’s good advice if you are there by 8am otherwise you will be touring the outskirts of the town and end up parking on an industrial estate. This is clearly not bed and breakfast and should not be advertised as such.

Lovely ideal location near to shops and Quayside. We had room 8 which was up two flights off stairs so if you not able, check which floor your room is going to be on as stairs steep and wind round. Room was not massive but was clean and comfy big bed. The view let it down a bit as was over a roof of the amusement park below with noisy air-conditioning unit..this did go off about 10pm. Bathroom was nice with open shower..sadly drain was blocked and floor nearly flooded into bedroom. I did message just to let the owners know and got a quick reply so thank you for that. Nice little lounging area downstairs with a free tea, hot chocolate and coffee. Little kitchen area if needed too. Overall nice but based on size and position of room wouldn't stay again.

Bijoux room and facilities.No view unfortunately .Sheets are very nice, good tea and toiletries are provided. Lounge and coffee machine at entrance create good feel. The key lock boxes work well. Position is central and close to beach, cafes and bars. Paid parking is opposite but free street parking available nearby. Will and Tina are lovely

Loverly room fabulous bathroom. The staff were very friendly and helpful.the stairs are a challenge, as I have just had a knee replacement? Not really bed and breakfast as you have to go out for breakfast.

Homely bed and breakfast in town. Comfortable and cosy room with all the necessary amenities in the perfect location to explore the town. Don't be put off by the self check in or the return payment to buy yourself breakfast in a local business.
