This was a great getaway. Everything about the stay was amazing. Rooms were nice and cozy. The food the restaurant serviced was 10 out of 10.

1. The rooms weren’t clean 2. Fought off mosquito most part of the night 3. Never got to wine taste when I had arrived. Two staff told me different closing time so I missed out. Never mind as I was being told time is up, there are some guests that were still being served. 4. While watching sunset, I ordered tea. It was not served & no one bothered. The only beautiful thing was the sunset I wouldn’t recommend this establishment to a friend.

My wife and I stayed here for the second time and we are equally as impressed with the beautiful estate this time round. The best Pinotage, beautiful grounds and accomodation, great food and most important... The best service from the people working there. We will of course be back soon.

Place is under construction. Noice of grinding, smell of burning tiles as they are renovating. Restaurant is not functioning and if you have any mobility impairment delay your stay until you can be sure what you book. Have to acknowledge the staff who are trying to make the best of impossible situations. We are checking out earlier than planned

De kamers hebben een grondige opknapbeurt nodig. De spiegel die normaal boven de wastafel zou moeten hangen, die hing boven het toilet. Het restaurant was nog het meest trieste. De eerste avond was het eten koud. De buitenkant van de lamshank was warm, maar binnenin was hij koud. Het ontbijt de volgende ochtend een t****e teleurstelling. In de ontbijtruimte was een meeting aan de gang, die eigenlijk pas na het ontbijt had mogen starten. De ober van dienst wist niet eens dat hij ontbijtgasten had. We mochten in een hoekje zitten. De t****e avond in het restaurant probeerden we de seafood pasta. Wat zou je daar aan kunnen verpesten? De garnalen bleken koud te zijn en de saus was een soort van soep.En toen we een kaasplankje bestelden kregen we te horen dat er niet genoeg kaas was. Dat was echt de limit. Bij het uitchecken onze ervaring gedeeld en we zouden door de manager teruggebeld worden. Dat is uiteraard nooit gebeurd. Het boeit ze gewoon niet.

We visited from England We went for a family meal and from the time we arrived to when we left, we loved our visit. The staff at the security gate were very friendly. The hope restaurant was beautiful. The restaurant staff were extremely tentative to our needs and so professional, welcoming and nothing was to much trouble. The food was outstanding. Beautiful plates of food which tasted even better than it looked. Everyone's food was delicious and even when we were full, we just wanted more. There was a great choice for everyone. There are plenty of vegetarian choices! The wine choice (we had Chenin blanc which was amazing) was the same list as the winter tasting, so you could have a bottle of your favourite with you meal. Apparently, it's under new management and the new chefs must be so passionate about the food they serve. Well done to everyone, it was our favourite meal of our holiday. Definitely a must visit if you are in the area
