This is a small well run hotel the rooms are spotless. The in room tea and coffee with fresh milk in the small fridge. Staff are warm, friendly and helpful. The bar as some excellent local beers not over priced. Breakfast is in room well thought out as yet no cooked breakfast available. The restaurant as limited opening times however the food is excellent we enjoyed an meal Saturday evening with our son and his family, front of house staff could not be better. The children's menu is freshly made by the chef our granddaughters chicken Goujons the chicken was so good very tasty. Very generous servings for adults and children. The apple crumble loved it with fresh custard and ice-cream.

I went with three friends for a catch up. We were all really pleased with our food choices. We only managed main courses which were very generous. The menu has a good selection so we shall be back. The staff were great.

We'd decided to stay outside Telford when playing in a sporting tournament there and my husband found The Old Orleton Inn in Wellington, just a 15 minute drive away from the Telford International Centre and a pleasant village with a lively centre. This lovely old inn has recently had an update and 10 rooms created as part of the Inn Collection where we've stayed happily before. They've retained all the original features including beautiful vaulted ceilings throughout and our room was a lovely example. It was also very clean, very comfortable and so were our beds. There is no breakfast available here but there is a very generous hamper of breakfast items including cereal, fruit, nuts and granola. There was also water, milk and yoghurt in the fridge so we were perfectly happy with that. There is a restaurant attached to the inn and, frankly, we felt we'd found a real gem. The chef there not only knows what he's doing but does it beautifully. The first night of our three night stay we both opted for pate and toast followed by pork belly. The main course was truly outstanding - a large piece of belly pork with a crispy and delicious skin and plenty of vegetables. We were so impressed my husband asked the chef how he got it so crispy and he was happy to share his knowledge. The second night (we were very late arriving back from the Centre but they still served us) we tried the Lamb Henry - another delicious masterpiece of meat and vegetables with plenty of tasty gravy. On the third night, we went back to the pork belly (although there were plenty of other tempting options on the menu) for a last memorable meal at the Inn. Throughout, the staff were not only quick and professional but friendly and helpful and really made our stay enjoyable. Would we return? No doubt about it - I can still taste that pork belly and it's drawing us back!

Cosy gorgeous Inn A lovely warm welcome from staff, cosy room, great breakfast hamper. A real gem of a place for an overnight stay to break up a long drive.
