Wellesley Boutique Hotel

Awesome rooms and whole vibe! Very cool place and well priced. Super clean and cozy. Really enjoyed my stay. Parking across the street is easy access, cheap and safe.

Without doubt, The Wellesley is Wellington's best kept accommodation experience. I am a Wellingtonian no living away so when I return to overnight for mahi I know exactly what I am looking for and where to find it. The Wellesley provides me peace, comfort and safety with a lashing of old world comfort and lushness that delights me every stay. It's a little elegant haven that I look forward to at the end of the day and never disappoints. What amazes me is that it is also consistently the best value available. Don't go changing Wellesley!!!

I absolutely loved this place! I was here for only one night, and more's the pity. The staff were welcoming and friendly, the rooms clean and well-presented, chocolates on possibly the most comfortable hotel pillows I've ever seen, and it was all a stone's throw from Lambton Quay and the Beehive. I also loved the huge spiral staircase! TBH I won't stay anywhere else in Wellington and will look to return with my family.

Wonderfully comfortable room with everything one expects from a boutique hotel. Friendly, helpful staff, great amenities. Fabulous location. I highly recommend this hotel. The price is very reasonable, and the minibar has lovely wines.

Enjoyable stay, very handy to train station which is why we chose this hotel. also walking distance to many attraction in the CBD area. Room was clean and bathroom enormous, we had chosen a room at the upper end of their room selection. They do state they are slowly upgrading rooms from the bottom up. We were on the top floor so things did look at bit run down. And because we had a so called better room I think the daily services could have been better ie daily replenishment of bathroom towels ( we did get 3 replacements )on second day but old towels were left and no hand towel or bath mat replacement. We also found tea/coffee facilities in an awkward place as husband kept banging his head because of his height also no lighting in the cupboard space they used. And very basic TV channels, we would have preferred movie over sport channels. Internet was good. A future visit we would go for a cheaper room for what we spent this time. Otherwise we love the charm and old style of this hotel. They also have a cafe located on the ground floor but only open weekdays. Staff friendly and helpful.
