We absolutely loved our stay at Kima Surfcamp in Weligama. The whole place is super charming, like an old colonial-style villa with beautiful details and a massive mango tree in the middle of the courtyard. It has such a calm and tropical vibe that you instantly feel at ease. We stayed in the Pool Suite and it was incredible. Having your own pool right outside your room is pure luxury after a surf session. The room was spacious, super clean and just really well done. The food was another highlight. Everything was fresh and full of flavor. The Tofu Cashew dish became our go-to and we could have honestly eaten it every day. The surf coaches were great too. Super friendly, always up for a chat and really helpful in the water. No pressure, no stress, just good people who love what they do and know how to pass that on. It’s one of those places that makes it hard to move on. The mix of laid-back atmosphere, amazing surf and really good food just works. Insidertipp: If you’re around on a Friday, don’t miss the BBQ night in the courtyard. Great food, live music and a super nice way to end the day with everyone from the camp.

After a surf accident, I came to Kima hoping to rebuild my confidence—and it delivered. The hostel is clean, social, and well-organized. The food is amazing, and the overall vibe is super welcoming. Surf classes were the highlight: small groups (max 6), lots of personal attention, and instructors who truly care. The energy in the water was incredible—everyone cheering each other on. The instructors super caring!!! It made surfing fun again. Surfing 2x a day and video analysis also made me improve really quickly. Great for solo travelers, with cool extras like ice baths and volleyball games. Highly recommend if you want to surf, connect, and reset.

This was our second time staying at Kima for surf and yoga together with our 11 year old son, and again we had an amazing time! The staff are all super kind and attentive, the food is yummy and facilities are charming and located in lush surrounding just 5 min walk from the beach.. The surf instructors go out of their way to help you conquer the waves and lots of daily activities like yoga, ice baths, volleyball, surfing analysis and much more.. special shout out to John who took super great care of us and accommodated all our requests! Highly recommend this place and will definitely be back for more surf adventure..

Das Frühstück und Abendessen war sehr lecker und abwechslungsreich. Die Mitarbeiter und die Surf-Guides sind ebenfalls sehr freundlich und aufgestellt. Die Zimmer waren genügend gross und sauber. Die ganze Anlage war sehr schön und sauber.

Kima Weligama is hands down the best surf camp for adults in Weligama! The relaxed atmosphere makes it easy to feel at home. The staff is friendly and helpful, the dorms are clean and comfortable, and the food is super tasty. The surf lessons are well-organized with experienced instructors who cater to all skill levels. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend it!

I decided to go to Kima surf camp on a whim, to get away from the cold and from work and meet some new people. Everyone at the camp was so kind and easy-going , travelers and staff alike. I had an incredible time and learned so much in just a week! I made new friends, ate amazing food, did some really cool activities…and I will definitely be back!

We were in Weligama at Kima Surf Camp and had a fantastic stay. The surf instructors are all very professional, nice and encouraging. I have never had so much fun surfing! The food is incredibly delicious and the atmosphere is so nice. All the staff try everything to give you the best stay. I don't really want to leave. It's like a family❤️

An amazing week spent at Kima Surf Camp Weligama, where I improved my surfing skills thanks to all the great guides. The guides gave me individual feedback after each wave, so I immediately knew what I need to change in order to level up. On top of the great time spent surfing, we were able to enjoy a delicious breakfast or dinner, participate in different fun activities, relax by the pool and/or follow much needed yoga classes. Special thanks to Benja, Sam and Roma for the greatest experiences for the last session, also with the video analysis!

Ich habe im Februar 2020 meine ersten Surfversuche im Kima Surf Weligama gehabt. Es war eine wirklich tolle Zeit und ich habe da die Leidenschaft für's surfen entdeckt. 5 Jahre später bin ich nun wieder hier. Ich hatte ebenfalls wieder eine unglaublich tolle Zeit und habe viele tolle neue Leute kennengelernt. Das Essen war sehr lecker, alle Surfguides und alle Mitarbeiter waren sehr höflich und zuvorkommend. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und überhaupt keine Insekten, alles war sehr gepflegt! Ich habe mich die ganze Zeit sehr wohl gefühlt und hatte sehr viel Spass beim surfen. Ich werde auf jeden Fall bald wieder zurückkommen, denn es ist einfach das beste Surfcamp das es gibt!
