Wir buchten das Hotel für einen Kurzbesuch Weimars mit Freunden. Die Buchung erfolgte direkt über das Hotel-Portal und war völlig unkompliziert. Den Parkplatz für 18 € haben wir direkt dazu gebucht. Der Preis erscheint recht hoch, wir konnten aber das Auto schon am Vormittag des Anreise- und auch bis zum Nachmittag am Abreisetag unterstellen. Die leidige Parkplatzsuche entfiel 👍 Alle Mitarbeiterinnen des Hotels waren überaus freundlich, aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Vielen Dank dafür! Die Zimmer sind groß, sauber und mit allem ausgestattet, was man benötigt. Das Bad ist zwar klein, aber für uns ausreichend. Besonders hat uns gefallen, dass es genügend Ablageflächen und Haken gibt. Die Betten sind ebenfalls sehr gut und das Ambiente ist dem Haus sehr angepasst. Das Frühstück war sehr gut. Frisches Obst und Gemüse, Backwaren frisch vom Bäcker, mehrere Sorten Konfitüren und Aufstriche …. Die Lage des Hotels ist super! Alles, was wir sehen wollten, konnten wir bequem zu Fuß erreichen. Es gibt eine schöne Dach-Terrasse und einen sehr schönen Raum, in dem man noch einen „Absacker“ genießen kann. Das Hotel bietet eine Rezeptions-Bar an! Wir können den Amalienhof wirklich empfehlen!

Well-located to old town. We cannot comment on hotel rooms, as we stayed next door in one of the apartments (no lift). It had a little kitchen, with tiny fridge, and nice bathroom. However, as I mentioned to a clerk - there are no hooks at all in the bathroom to hang your towels. Little to no room to put a shaving kit anywhere, either - but, that is a minor item. Our issue was not with the hotel, but that we stayed 3 nights and there is just not that much to do/see in Weimar. Had a the best German meal across town on a Sat night, but then realized that most restaurants are closed on Sunday and Monday. Weimar was like a ghost town (late Jan 2022). We should have stayed in Erfurt for a night - gorgeous medieval town. But, back to the hotel -not sure where they are getting that nice picture of having breakfast on an upstairs balcony, because breakfast is served in the large glass room next to check-in. Breakfast was lovely - they even had sekt served on Sunday (which, for 3 euro/bottle, why not serve on all days?). Cappucino's are extra (not included in bfast). We parked on the street for free v. the hotel parking.

Waren das zweite mal im Amalienhof. Immer zum Weihnachtsmarkt in Weimar. Hotel liegt am Rande der Altstadt, sehr zentral und nur 150 m von der Fußgängerzone entfernt. Super Service und herzliche Freundlichkeit der gesamten Mitarbeiter sind besonders zu erwähnen. Das Frühstücksbufett lässt keine Wünsche offen. Die Zimmer sind zweckmäßig eingerichtet und ausreichend groß. Es gibt Duschgel, Kleenex und Föhn. Safe und Minibar leider nicht. Das Haus ist picobello sauber. Parkplätze am Haus sind vorhanden und kostenpflichtig. Wir kommen gerne wieder.
