My family and I stayed here a week ago. We were overcharged $300. The place is very run down. The lines waiting for breakfast were super long. We had a hard time getting to the coffee and drink machines as it was overcrowded. The hallways were not air-conditioned so it was hot and sticky. Outside temperature was 78-80 degrees. For what we paid it was not worth it at all! We could have stayed in a nicer hotel for that price. Also the t.v. Was very small, outdated and the t.v. In the bathroom didn’t work and had exposed wires. They did not tell us when booking that the 4th floor has no elevator to it, so we had to carry everything up the stairs by hand. Again, it was very hot and humid in there. So, so run down everywhere except the lobby. Save your money and go somewhere else!

We found our room clean and well-maintained. The staff were friendly. There were plenty of electrical outlets and USB ports. Everything was in working order, and the bathroom was also large and comfortable. The price was very fair. Some issues of which one should be aware: (1) There is only one slow, hydraulic elevator in this hotel with some 100 rooms. Even the staff use that one elevator. It can get so crowded that others can't fit in, and one has to wait again, as it stops in every floor. (2) Soundproofing/insulation isn't great, so you'll need earplugs if you're a light sleeper. Bridge traffic noise as well as noise from other rooms can be expected. Also bear in mind that this hotel allows pets in guests' rooms. (3) The breakfast scene can be chaotic, and there was no coffee for 10 minutes when we were there. (4) The WiFi service was very slow. Overall, we felt the hotel represented a good value. At this point, there probably isn't much they can do about the elevator, but it would be nice if they worked on improving the sound-proofing by improving the windows and insulation. They could also use an additional coffee dispenser.

Nice hotel. Unfortunately our room was not ready at check in time which was disappointing as we had driven all day. The lady behind the desk was extremely friendly and apologetic, and just pleasant to visit with in the meantime. The room itself was extremely clean and smelled clean, which was very nice. The only downfalls that I can think of is, it was not very quiet as far as noise that you could hear from outside. Breakfast buffet would be nice if they had some healthy options like yogurt or fruit. But it was a grab and go and so there was enough to choose from.

We stayed in their 2-room suite and had no complaints. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is the last exit before the Mackinaw bridge and walking distance to a couple restaurants, as well as the lake. The Mackinac Island shuttle can be requested on demand.

Our room was on the fourth floor and had a view of Mackinac Bridge and Lake Huron. The staff at the hotel are friendly, helpful, and efficient. Fresh baked cookies await guests upon arrival. The room was clean and comfortable as was the balcony. I recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

This hotel was in a decent area, close to a park and a few restaurants. This is an older hotel and it’s a bit battered up. A bit of mold in the shower, fogged up windows, and just had a tired feel to it. Breakfast was nuts. Packed with people, they ran out of bagels, muffins, peanut butter, cream cheese and quite a few other things. We were lucky to get there before the real rush of people came. Some had nowhere to sit and went to the pool area so they could sit down to eat. I would not stay there again. Look for a more up to date hotel.
