As frequent guests here at the Fireside we are continually surprised by the constant and consistent upgrading being done. From the inviting entrance to the outdoor pool and hot tub area, the colorful landscaping surrounding the building where you end up in a very clean and inviting room, the guest satisfaction is first and foremost in their efforts. The very courteous and professional staff and operation will make your stay a memorable one.

I went to the Fireside Inn with some friends the first weekend in August. There were some things about our stay that were very disappointing. We stayed on the 2nd floor in room 331. The entire floor had a terrible smell to it, like air freshener covering the smell of a hundred litter boxes. The good at the restaurant was not very good. A boys baseball team was also staying at the hotel that weekend. They were allowed to completely take over the hotel. They ran through the hallways on scooters, nearly trampling us many times. They took ice from the machines with their bare hands and ate the ice right there over the machines. They took over the pool and hot tub, and were actually doing cannonballs in the hot tub. They blocked an entire entrance with a slip and slide. Their parents let them run completely wild. We couldn’t believe the hotel staff did nothing to ensure the safety of the other guests. I can’t I’m good faith recommend this hotel to others.

Eric and Dave and their staff are the friendlies I have encountered. They are invested in you having the best vacation experience possible. The pool and hot tub are clean and functional. The rooms are spatious and clean. This was our second time staying there and hope to go back. Maine is a beautiful State to visit.

Check in was quick and easy. Staff was friendly. Whoopie pies were a bonus! Room was clean, bed was comfortable. Continental breakfast was simple. Governors restaurant was/is right next door. Starbucks is right in back of the hotel if you like there coffee.

Not gonna lie, I've been to many hotels but never in my life have I received Whoopi pies at check-in!! AMAZING!!! Staff was very friendly and the grab and go breakfast was well stocked with a plethora of options. I look forward to my next stay at a fireside inn. 😁
