Super 8 by Wyndham Watertown

Outdated, shower head was at my chest level, Room was clean, price low.

I stayed at the Super 8 in Watertown while passing through for work. It was the only place available that night so I went with it. Looking back I wouldn’t stay again. The man at the front desk was polite and helped me check in early which I appreciated. Still the place felt pretty neglected. The pool and hot tub were out of order and the laundry machines didn’t work either. When I got to my room neither bed was made. The bathroom wasn’t clean and there were visible hairs that should have been caught during cleaning. There was a strange smell in the room that didn’t go away and the AC barely worked. I could hear everything happening outside which made it hard to relax. There were stains on the furniture and the overall feel wasn’t clean or comfortable. What really pushed me to leave a review was an interaction I had at the front desk. I had to get my key reprogrammed after extending my stay and the woman working that day made it clear I was bothering her. I’m always respectful and try to be kind so it felt off. She was suddenly friendlier the next day which just made things feel inconsistent and awkward. I later found out the hotel is run by a family and I think the man who checked me in might be her husband. He actually encouraged me to leave a review so here it is. I skipped the breakfast because I wasn’t confident in the cleanliness. I also asked for a late checkout but it wasn’t accommodated. That part is understandable but it matched the overall vibe of indifference. In the end I think travelers deserve a clean space and basic kindness when they’re spending money to rest. This stay didn’t meet that for me. If you have other options in the area I would look into them first.

The pool was drained and hot tub not working. Breakfast room was dirty and nothing available at 830am when it ended at 10am. Room was small.

AVOID AT ALL COST! We arrived for check in (after verifying 3 times prior earlier in the week that we had accommodations) to be told we didn’t have a room (town was sold out). No one was at the desk and didn’t answer the phone. We finally tracked a cleaning staff who woke up the desk employee who was sleeping in a room. He tried to blame us but then said they cancelled 15 rooms due to “issues” and didn’t have the decency to call us. Pool was out of order. People that did end up staying (some of our baseball team) said breakfast was toast and extremely stale cereal. So glad we drove to Milbank and stayed at the GrandStay Hotel. Worth the drive if you must.

I normally don't leave a negative review, but I'm going to this time. I booked off of *******. Great, no problem there. The actual property is in way worse condition compared to the pictures listed. About the only nice thing about this place was the pool and hot tub which i was informed when i finally got someone to check me in was closed. That was the reason I booked there. I have cronic back pain and after traveling I need a hot tub to keep the muscle spasms at bay. The toilet seat was broken, The shower curtain was too short and ran water all over the bathroom floor. This place needs a serious renovation. There was nobody around to get checked out and get a receipt either. The only thing I wont rag about is the bed. It wasnt terrible.

The room was clean and nice but when we asked to go swimming before the pool closed it was locked and we were told it was closed but they wouldnt give us a reason why
