Staff were so kind and helpful when I felt unwell during our stay, especially Caroline and her colleague on the front desk. Support shown was amazing, our room view was lovely overlooking Reginald’s Tower and breakfast was delicious. Would highly recommend.

I am a regular visitor to Waterford and I love this hotel. Michael O'Neill, the General Manager and his staff are a credit to the place. The lobby is relaxing with beautiful decor and the staff are friendly and helpful. All the facilities are well maintained and the hotel gives a warm welcome vibe when you enter. The bar and restaurant has plenty to choose from and in the morning, the breakfast area upstairs boasts beautiful views. I enjoyed two nights over the Christmas period when the Winterval festival was on. The hotel is in a great location to experience all that Waterford has to offer. It never disappoints everytime I return and I am always warmly welcomed back It's the little touches that make this hotel worth a trip. As a solo traveller predominantly, this is an ideal hotel for a relaxing solo trip or whatever your reason for staying should be.

Not a 4 star hotel at all, carpet had stains and bathroom was poor, no parking, two bath towels ( 3 guests ) bath mat very stain. Traffic and outside noise was awful. Breakfast was cold, restaurant staff , waitresses and restaurant manager very helpful. Pool area old but was nice experience with nice staff. Front of house and bar staff not a bit friendly. € 210 for 1 adult and two teens. Location was great , but that was it really, when you go away you expect a little better than home. It really made me appreciate my own home. When I did complain the hotel refunded me €50. I wasn’t complaining to receive a refund, because I have a lot of experiences in the hospitality section . And there should be no excuses, busy time of the year. I won’t be back.

This review is in regards to the bar service etc. First off I stopped in on my way to dinner in a local restaurant. I was met at the bar/restaurant by this guy who said the lounge is closed to all but residents. The place was empty, it's about 5,30pm. The reason behind being turned away is understandable, but the approach was so unprofessional it was mind boggling. I had been in the place in the past and I can vouch the knowledge of the servers on the products such as a white from red wine is indicative of lack of training. Perhaps that should be a new year resolution, starting with the doorman in the restaurant. Then when he is trained he could explain to the bar staff what a cabernet is. For me its not going to be problem. Lot's of alternatives out there.

While organising a special talent show recently i had the privilege of dealing with Muireann from the Events team . Her attention to detail her kindness and patience was exceptional. On the night itself , the staff on duty could not have done more for our group. I can highly recommend The Tower Hotel for any function big or small. We will definitely go back again. Thanks to all the staff for making our night extra special.

I visited the Tower Hotel in November 2024 (and previously in May 2024 and November 2023) and I had to leave a review because I was just so pleased with the whole experience. I hosted an event there, so I can attest that the Events team are efficient, professional and friendly. I was particularly taken with the Bar & Restaurant staff as the food was only matched by the service (particularly Anna - thank you!), and I heard nothing but good things from all of my guests. It's really nice to know that you can invite people to a hotel and be confident that they'll be well looked after. Several of my guests were staying in the hotel the night before the event, and one of them took ill and needed to be taken to the hospital. The hotel staff, particularly the gang on Reception, were so responsive, so kind and so helpful in getting him where he needed to go and ensuring that his partner was taken care of as well. Honest, your event or stay is in truly good hands here. Can't praise them enough.
