First, the good news is that this had the most comfortable bed, best pillows and best bed linens of our vacation -- and the room was very clean, and the owners also made an obvious effort on the decor. However, the photos are misleading as this is obviously a 1950's era roadside motel so it was VERY noisy, and the pond is not nearly as peaceful and charming as the photos would have you believe. Also, although there was a small kitchenette in the room, there was not adequate dinnerware, and the bathroom was very small with little space for toiletries and no outlet for an electric toothbrush by the sink. Finally, the porch chairs were uncomfortable Adirondack chairs.

We were surprised that the room was as small as it was but we did have a tiny kitchen with a two burner stove, small sink and refrigerator/freezer. For one nite it was fine but I wouldn't want to stay in this small a room for multiple nites. The room was very clean and comfortable. It was furnished with a bed, single nightstand with lamp and a dresser. We did use the folding chair outside the room to put some of our things on which was a big help. The back deck is nice but the view is of other houses and docks mostly. It might have been a nicer stay if we had chosen one of the more expensive rooms on the lake that may be bigger.

Very clean and rustic. Staff is friendly and helpful. Great location to dining options. Priced right and the deck overlooking the lake is so relaxing. I have stayed here several times. Love it.

It's a very nice room on a lovely lake. It's also right on the very busy Dixie highway. Overall a nice place to stay
